Beyond Limits Paramount lets you look outside the cities for great part-time to full-time opportunities

hy not live in paradise and grow a fantastic business, too? That’s the question asked by Aimee Spinley, the Customer Relationship Manager for Paramount in Northland. ‘You don’t need to live in one of the big cities to build a flourishing commercial cleaning business – we have so many opportunities here in Northland, and in other regions too, far away from the high house prices and impossible traffic.’ One of those who has taken the plunge is Sandeep Kathiriya. Whilst studying business management in Auckland, he undertook some parttime cleaning work to help pay his way. ‘I could see the potential of the sector,’ he recalls. ‘I moved on to become manager of a service station in Dargaville but, as I was keen to increase my earnings and eventually own my own business, I looked around for evening work.’ Sandeep responded to advertisements from Paramount and other cleaning companies. ‘I liked what Paramount was doing. They presented everything well and I felt they were completely honest, so I took on a part-time franchise. They always delivered what they said they’d deliver, and there have never been any broken promises – not ever,’ he adds with emphasis.
Welcome back - no worries When Sandeep left Dargaville and moved to Whangarei four years ago for personal reasons, Paramount told him to stay in touch. ‘Paramount has opportunities virtually everywhere in the country, so when the time was right, I contacted them and they said, “Welcome back!” I was so pleased – I immediately took on contracts for a couple of sites and after a year have expanded to four. I now have a team of five servicing these sites, and have just bought back Dargaville so I have three people working there as well. It’s becoming quite a sizeable operation.’ Sandeep believes there are even greater things to come, both for him and for Paramount in general. ‘I would never have considered this kind of business without their support,’ he says. ‘Paramount has the brand and systems which attract clients, and they have big national contracts which an individual could never achieve. Reputation is everything in this business and Paramount look after the two most important things – their franchisees and their clients. franchise.co.nz – PUTTING PEOPLE IN BUSINESS
‘The company has been highly pro-active helping me expand. One of the best aspects is that none of the franchisees have to worry about invoicing or debt collection – the company handles all that, leaving you free to concentrate on providing a high quality service. It’s a huge help. I used to be a part-time franchisee with a small career, and now, thanks to them, I have a growing full-time business.’
Join a winning team
Paramount’s franchisees have people like Aimee to thank for their growth. ‘I grew up in Northland, but went to Auckland as an account manager for a print company,’ she says. ‘When the job with Paramount came up, I jumped at the chance to leave the city. Four years later, I’m still loving it as I have a fantastic job and live in a glorious part of the world – and you can do it too! ‘If you are new to the business, you’ll find there is no limit to the support and training we offer – after all, Paramount is a three-time winner of the Westpac Supreme Franchise System of the Year award. Many of our most successful franchisees had zero experience of cleaning before they started with Paramount. Our support team will give full training, meet clients, assist with quoting, help set up the business and come out and train your staff onsite, if need be. We will do everything we can to help our franchisees succeed and build their business to where they want to be. ‘With invoicing and debt collection handled for you, we guarantee your turnover. We are renowned for our approach to sustainability and zero waste, and we are reducing our carbon emissions with the Paramount vehicle fleet going electric by 2025.’
Dedicated to service Paramount is currently seeking to appoint new franchisees in most areas in the country. ‘Here in Northland, for example, we have national contracts in place with companies from Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Kaikohe and Kawakawa right down to Wellsford and Warkworth,’ says Aimee. ‘That’s the same for all the regions – we just need more people dedicated to customer service who have the ambition to build and invest in a business for themselves. ‘I know I’m biased, but there is a quality of life in the regions that is like no other. We would love to entice more people to think outside the box and come and see what Northland, and other areas outside the urban limits, have to offer. You can start small and grow as big as you like.’ ‘As Aimee says, Paramount has plenty of opportunities for franchisees interested in a long-term future,’ confirms Murray Hamilton, Paramount’s National Manager. ‘We are one of the best-known names in the commercial cleaning industry, and it is because people like Sandeep and Aimee provide such high standards of professionalism that we are still leading Advertiser Info the way after four Paramount Services decades. www.paraserve.com ‘To find out more about our regional business opportunities, contact me today.’
