IT'S FESTIVAL TIME!! We love September. The kids go back to school and the football season has well and truly started. But the best bit is, of course, The Wirksworth Festival - two weeks of art, architecture, music, theatre, dance, film, fun and general craziness. We’ve been asked to kick off the whole thing with an outdoor screening of Les Miserables in Stoney Woods - so time to get out your peasant rags from the back of the wardrobe (and don’t forget your own chair) for a 19thC carnival!
BOOK ONLINE
We’re also screening local legend and recently married (ahhh...) film maker, Gavin Repton’s latest work - The Lost Pubs of Wirksworth. Plus we’re holding another Comedy Night, a pop-up Japanese restaurant, a weekend in celebration of D.H. Lawrence on film and a host of really, really good films... Plus, in October we celebrate our twinning with Frankenau, Germany with our very own Oktoberfest... films, beer and bratwurst - lederhosen optional. Prost!

GOOD FILMs, GOOD FOOD and gREAT beerS...
From September we will be launching our new menus. We like to think we keep one step ahead of the crowd in all things good taste, so when we heard for example that Wetherspoons now serve Brooklyn Lager, as good as it is, the writing was on the wall. So next time you prop yourself at the bar, say hello to a few new ‘bottled friends’ and let your taste buds be tempted by the new food on offer. Table reservations for food will be available at the time of booking online or just call and leave a message. Either way, we’re looking forward to serve.
