Emily Blunt: The Girl On The Train
AUTUMN16
1
WELCOME
It just doesn’t seem right to be thinking of Christmas films in August - but such is a life in the movies! But before we start on the eggnog, we have a packed programme for you this autumn. October sees the return of Woody Allen with his latest comedy Café Society, our own town’s Eileen Davies star in Adult Life Skills and a welcome return to everyone’s favourite messed up 40 something, in Bridget Jones’s Baby. November sees the hugely anticipated The Girl on the Train before we go all-out for adventure with our annual Wirksworth Adventure Film Festival (WAFF) which includes a world-premier of The Best of Kendal. Then we can start to open the advent calendars, as we once more head into the season of mince pies, crackers and excessive amounts of alcohol. With A Miracle on 34th Street, Scrooge and It’s a Wonderful Life, we have the classics covered. Plus a live broadcast of The Nutcracker from the Royal Opera House. Not a bad way to end the year. Now back to the BBQ.

ANASTASIA (12A)
Breaking up with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) leaves Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) over 40 and single again. Feeling that she has everything under control, Jones decides to focus on her career as a top news producer. Suddenly, her love life comes back from the dead when she meets a dashing and handsome American named Jack (Patrick Dempsey). Things couldn’t be better, until Bridget discovers that she is pregnant. Now, the befuddled mum-to-be must figure out if the proud father is Mark or Jack.
An identity in crisis; a country in revolution. Anastasia is a ballet about one of the great historical mysteries of the 20th century, only recently solved. At the height of the Russian Revolution the royal family were executed, but afterwards a young woman appeared – apparently a surviving royal princess, the Grand Duchess Anastasia. Known as ‘Anna Anderson’, she couldn’t remember her past and she was presumed to be an imposter. Many wanted to forget the massacre and the Revolution; many believed, or hoped, that a princess could have survived, a remnant of the old world.

FINd US
Wirksworth is tucked away in the Derbyshire Dales, a bit off the beaten track - but that’s the way we like it. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON NORTH END There is parking on Harrison Drive, at the railway station during the day and on the Market Place, Barmote Court off (Coldwell Street) and Wood Street car parks.
WIRKSWORTH
GOOD NEIGHBOURS North End is our favourite street in town. We live here, we work here, we tend to drink here too. That’s why we ask all our customers to help us minimise any disturbance on the street and help us be good neighbours. So if you arrive by car, we ask you not to park on North End itself, as lots of our neighbours rely on on-street parking. There’s plenty of parking elsewhere in town. If you smoke, we ask you to do so away from the cinema but also away from residential houses -
ACCESS there’s a handy bench across the road at the top of Greenway Croft. Finally, when you leave, please do so quietly as some of our neighbours are elderly and others have young children, who may have retired to bed by the time you leave.
Please let the Box Office know when booking tickets, should you need to reserve a wheelchair-user space. We have a hearing loop installed in the auditorium and are fully wheelchair accessible.
This will all help keep us in the good books with our neighbours - which is always a good thing. Thanks for your help!
