Influences

Always be Inspired

I picked up designing only as a hobby when I was 11. I started off teaching myself into using Photoshop and Illustrator by looking and going through endless tutorials during that time. At 16 years old, I then enrolled into a private design institute to further my study and complete my university in graphic design.

My family has always been very supportive about my design path. My parents have always provided me support financially, since we all know designing isn't exactly the cheapest (and given that my sister does interior too). My sister and my brother are my favorite people to turn to when asking for advices and comments about my works. They will always give honest and constructive comments about my works.

Travelling has always been the most important source of inspiration for me. I love getting lost in unfamilar places, meeting new people across the world and discovering some of the most underated things. I enjoy backpacking myself very much. I believe life begins at the end of my comfort zone. At the end of the day, I want to be the person to "wow" people with my travel stories and my accomplishments.

Brand Identity, Self Promotion

To design a personal brand identity to brand myself as a unique graphic designer. ​ My intial consist double 'P' - Pauline Pung. My concept is to use a combination of thick strokes and geometric shapes (inspired by “hipster” style logo) and to showcase something modern, dynamic, simple and memorable at the same time. Brand Identity

To design a personal brand identity for a vintage photography cafe called LOMA. ​ The idea behind the ‘Lomá' logo is to show something that represents both café and lomography. The shape replacing the letter ‘O' epitomizes the top view of the coffee and the diaphragm opening in a camera. The irregular shapes represent the swirls you see when stirring a cup of coffee.

Brand Identity, Rebranding (Personal Project)

Foodpanda is a online food ordering website that connects people with restaurants around their neighbourhood. Their aim to make their customers to have an easy and fun experience while ordering through their service. ​ I wanted to rebrand the brand myself because I did not like the current existing logo. I did not think the logo was reflecting the brand well enough to their audiences. My concept is to emphasis the "fun and easy going" side of their service by using simple yet eye-catching icons. I've also used a selections of bold colours an typography to bring out the liveliness of their service.

Personal magazine project I have created under the name BEATS. ​ EATS logo is created based on glitches, which are unexpected, minor malfunction B or technical problem that you may sometimes encounter in computers or televisions. To create seasonal greetings card for Formia Airlines Supplier. FORMIA is one of world's premier travel industry supplier, specialising in amenity kits, wet products and comfort items as well as tailor-made inflight items. The art direction is to go for something close to FORMIA's cooperate look, which is brown and cream color, but yet something luxury and travel related at the same time. Details like gold confetti and red christmas decoration balls are added to emphasis on the exciting occastion.

To create a series of watch advertisements for Rado. Each print is based on the observation of the elements of the watches. These elements include bokeh lights, geometric shapes and futuristic colors schemes.

This project involves me to first study their existing advertising campaign - Live Young, before improvising it with my own concept. ​ My concept is to use office paper to create a glacier, in relate to the brand itself. Paper is a very representable and commonly seen object in an office environment. This also represents that you can refresh your mind everywhere and anywhere, even if you were in an stressful environment like your office.

Srilakan Airlines is a wining airlines with a solid reputation for service, comfort, safety and reliability. ​ My concept is to beautify the well known things of Srilankan, such as their golden beaches, rising waves, misty mountains and mighty animals. Brussels Airlines believe all traveller's holiday should be"Enjoy. Relax. Smile. Have fun!" They embrace their brand for more colours, lighter typography and simple illustrations style. Their signature cloud represents their sky-high services and symbolises loyal travel companion. ​ My concept is to emphasis Brussels Airlines' philosophy about bringing excitement towards traveller. The white fluffy cloud also floats gently towards traveller's favourite destinations whenever and wherever it may be.

To design a series of prints on DOT-DROPS hard cases for Qatar Airways. DOT-DROPS is an exclusive luggage brand crafted from strong and durable materials. My first designs on the top are inspired by gypsum patterns inspired by Qatari houses. The next three designs are inspired by travel stamps and the last design was an embroidery Islamic print. These bags were proposed for Qatar Airways' Business Class.
