ORDINAIS
Você sabe a diferença entre os números cardinais e ordinais em inglês? Os números cardinais demonstram uma numeração, enquanto que os ordinais, como seu próprio nome diz, nos dizem uma ordem a ser seguida CARDINAIS
Para a formação dos números ordinais, basta acrescentar a terminação tha os números que vão de 4 a 0; Somente os números com finais 1,2 e 3 é que são diferentes. No entanto, tome cuidado pois alguns números mudam a grafia: Exemplos twenty – twelfth nine – ninth
Seguem algumas dicas para a formação:

* As dezenas são sempre terminadas em ty: Exemplos: 20 - twenty, 30 - thirty, 40 - forty, 50 - fifty, etc.
* As centenas são escritas da forma "uma centena" e não "cem", como no português, acrescentando hundred: Exemplos: 100 - One hundred, 200 - Two hundred, etc.
* Para a formação dos milhares, segue-se a regra da dezena, apenas trocando "hundred" por "thousand": Exemplos: 1000 = One thousand, 2000 = Two thousand, etc * Os milhões funcionam da mesma maneira, só trocando por "million": Exemplos: 1,000,000 = One million, 2,000,000 = two million, etc Notas: 1.Diferentemente da língua portuguesa, o divisor de milhar é uma vírgula (,) e não o ponto. Exemplos: 1,730,014 - One million seven hundred thirty thousand and fourteen 2.Para hundred, thousand e million, billion use sempreaouoneantes. AULA 03: ALSO, TOO, EITHER, NEITHER Existem várias maneiras de se dizer ―TAMBÉM‖ e nós vamos ver a diferença de uso entre as principais delas e expressões decorrentes destas mesmas palavras. • A começar por ALSO, que significa ―TAMBÉM‖ e deve ser usado antes dos verbos principais e depois dos verbos auxiliares. Quando usado em tempos compostos (contínuos, perfeitos, etc.), estes detalhes são de extrema importância. É usado em frases afirmativas. (John is a very good Singer. Mary also sings very well.). • TOO significa ―TAMBÉM‖ também e deve ser, com este sentido, usado ao final de frases afirmativas e interrogativas/afirmativas. Não confundir com o TOO usado no meio da frase (antes de advérbios e adjetivos) e que significa ―demais‖, ―em demasia‖ e pode der usado também em frases negativas. (Kate is 92 years old. Cathy is 92 years too. They too old to get married). Há duas expressões que vêm de EITHER e NEITHER e que são comumente usados em inglês e, por isso, é muito importante que passemos uma vistinha nelas EITHER tem o significado de ―TAMBÉM‖, sendo apenas usado em frases negativas e no final das frases (we didn‘t watch that movie and they didn‘t watch it either). Não confundir com EITHER no sentido de qualquer um(a) (de dois) ou nenhum(a) (de dois)(em frases negativas) sempre dando sentido de escolha (You will find two English books in my bedroom. You can take either of them). • NEITHER vem de EITHER no sentido de algum, só que na negativa (nenhum). (neither of them was intelligent). • EITHER ... OR ... significa ―OU... OU...‖ em frases afirmativas e ―NEM ... NEM...‖ em frases negativas. Não esquecer que em inglês não pode haver duas negativas numa mesma oração. O sentido é sempre de escolha entre dois. (Either Phill or Paul studied in Germany). • NEITHER ... NOR ... significa ―NEM ... NEM‖ em frases com estrutura afirmativa mas com sentido negativa. (Neither Phill nor Paul studied in Germany)

The Mexican crisis has been shaking the foreign investors‘ reliance on emerging markets, especially the Latin American. Brazilian answer to the new international situation brought up by the Mexican crisis is already being established by the Economic Team. Frightened, these economists have chosen the recessive adjustment. In fact, recession is an old phenomenon of the Brazilian economy. The problem is that Brazilian history shows that recession causes inflation. In addition to this, it may also lead the country into a superinflation, like the one that was present in the last year of the past decade.
If a travel companion seems to have stopped breathing because of a heart attack, a stroke, or drowning, act immediately. First of all, lay the patient on a hard level surface and ask somebody to call for professional medical help. Then, kneel beside the patient and blow twice into the patient‘s mouth. Poems for the People - Poems by the People We all build up a fantasy of what the perfect person should be. As time goes on we realize that we live in a fantasy. Some are luckier than others to at least get a glimpse of their fantasy. I've been fortunate to get that glimpse. Fantasy by Virgo All my life I had built up a fantasy of the perfect man. Countless romance stories and fables helped make that fantasy a reality in my mind. Searching for that fantasy leads to many disappointments. Reality made it clear that there was no such man. And as the years went by, the fantasy started to fade away - until I met you. I had almost given up on the fantasy until my fantasy became reality, that reality became you.
