and the Human Settlements Department they now agree that the development would be beneficial to both the area and the university. Wylde, now a DA ward 1 councillor, who led the petition against the proposed development, said they had now seen the positive implications of having such a development.
NMMU Deputy Director of Communication, Debbie Derry, confirmed that the Municipality approved an application from NMMU for the development of part of the land it owns in Second Avenue, next to the Boardwalk.
