ITH all 16 teams of the Nelson Mandela Bay South Africa Sevens tournament having arrived on Sunday, excitiment is building up for what is known as “rugby’s biggest party” in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday and Sunday. By changing the tournament to a Saturday and Sunday format and keeping ticket prices unchanged, organisers hope to draw capacity crowds on both days and to attract 80 000 fans to establish this tournament as one of the top events on the World Series calendar. All 16 teams are staying at the Garden Court Kings Beach Hotel. On Monday the Springbok Sevens had a walk through at the NMB Stadium while their mascot, Bokkie, handed out gifts to children at the Life Mercantile Hospital. Today at 12.30pm the Springbok Sevens team will have signing session at Cleary Park Mall. Tomorrow at 1.30pm the Springbok Sevens team will be announced, followed by a Springbok Sevens open training session at 3pm at Alexander Road High School. The tournament kicks off on Saturday, 8 December, at 11am and the Cup
