PE Express grows to 100 000 copies REPORTER

ORT ELIZABETH Express, the biggest free local newspaper in the Eastern Cape, will from September 2, 2015, increase its print order even further – from 90 000 copies to 100 000 copies being distributed weekly. “The demand from our readers for more copies to be printed proves that print is indeed not a dying breed if a publication, while changing with the times, remains indispensable for both its readers and advertisers,” said Bettie Giliomee, regional editor of EP Media. Its stories can also be read on the popular News 24 website. So what is it that makes PE Express so popular that in a time of social media bringing news to our screens and fingertips 24/7, people still want their local newspaper in their postbox on a Wednesday?
