Politics at the heart of the working economy

W

e often see politics in Thailand and around the world trying to push some policy to fix the working economy.

Economic issues are what most all citizens are concerned about because it has an inevitably direct effect on their lives. Everyone has to face economic issues because it provides a basis for public well-being. If the economy is good, then the people will eat well and live comfortably being able to afford things they wish. Such lifestyle however, has a returning effect on the economy from the foundation to its highest level. Lifewise, if the economy is poor then it will cause a negative effect. The citizens will not spend as much, but rather find every way to save what they have. This also effects the economy as a whole and causes various problems later on, particularly politic problems. The citizens will then protest asking the government to solve the issues. In society, crime rises in the shadows while today the economy has become the heartbeat of civilization.

The economy influences business owner reputation and the political elections since the government is expected to quickly fix every issue and maintain the people’s confidence in its leadership.

However, the major problem corrupting the economy is politics.

You will see that most any country without political problems is often hardly affected by various economic issues. Though there are outside variables such as international competition for economic dominance which in recent years has shown to be more severe, effecting the world economy.

However, if a country is politically sound, the economic issues thereof will have little influence. As for Thailand, we should look at the big picture with the government’s evaluation that the economy is

improving yet also look to the various factors effecting citizens such as that in the agricultural sector. Today’s agricultural goods sale prices are terribly low across the board and particularly for latex and palm oil. We see this not just in southern Thailand farming but in many provinces all over the country who are pleading for the government to do something to help raise and sustain agricultural good prices.

This issue has an effect on the families of farm owners as well as their workers. We will have to wait and see what measures the government puts forward to help improve the prices of produce and other farming goods such as latex and palm oil. Such decisions made by the government will have a major effect on the upcoming elections in February of next year.

Any politician proposing a solid solution to the economic problems will certainly please the citizens and have a great influence on their electoral vote. After that, they must carry out the policy proposed to the best benefit of the people. It won’t be long before we get to see what policies they have in store for the people.

We will just have to wait and find out.

maintstream newspaper printed a headline “4 famous Phuket beaches with lifeguards” writing that Patong, Kata, Karon and Kamala do not any lifeguards on duty. This became a very big topic in social media causing those responsible to quickly update and respond continuously. Most recently, on November 8th, Phuket Times Newspaper went to investigate at Patong Beach an internationally known tour beach in Phuket where they found lifeguards on duty caring for tourists as usual.

There is also additional funding from the private sector such as Phatana Patong Foundation whom care for another 4 points along the beach. There is also equipment funding to allow for more efficient tourist care. However, as tourism season comes full force, many tourists flow into Patong beach and often spread out to other nearby beaches including Kalim beach and Traitrang beach which do not yet have lifeguard staff present. It is certainly important that this issue is notified and taken into consideration to find a solution.

Mr. Somprasong Sangchart, the Head of Lifeguard staff at Patong Beach shared that what was written was false information, particularly for Patong Beach which is can be assured though Provincial Authorities may have problems hiring in many areas, Patong Beach has always had lifeguards present on duty. This is made possible through additional funding from the private sector. Though we may at times be short staffed, our staff are very capable and proud to care for tourist and local citizens alike as best as they can.

Also, Mr. Preechawut Keesin, the President of Phatana Patong Foundation shared that as a Patong born local citizen and one who makes a living through tourism in Patong, I have a responsibility to help develop Patong in a direction for sustainable tourism.

ILLEGAL SEAFOOD PROCESSING FACTORY RAIDED IN RASSADA, MANAGER ARRESTED

fficials today have inspected a seafood processing factory in Rassada. A factory manager has been arrested over illegally operating a seafood factory.

The Phuket PR Office reported that officials from the Phuket Fisheries Office as well as the Phuket City Police this morning inspected a seafood processing factory in the Rassada area.

The factory was quite extensive and appeared to have more than 40 staff.

Speaking at the the "Blockchain for Sustainable Development Goals" forum yesterday, Mr Bhume said the national digital ID will be launched in a "limited pilot phase" among bank staff in January and then go public soon after.

First, you can take a boat here from Bang Ben beach in Laem Som National Park which takes around half an hour. RACHA ISLAND also known as Raya in Phuket is a very easy island trip as it not far off the shore of Phuket. This island is sure not to disappoint located just 15 km west of Phuket Island where there is both Racha Yai and Racha Noi island. Racha Yai is the more popular island for touring with 5 beaches within Tawantok Bay and Patok Bay. The beach sand is smooth and soft while the waters are a crystal light blue. TARUTAO ISLANDS are located within the Tarutao Island National Park in Satun province. This island was in fact previously used for imprisonment of criminals with serious offences. However, now it has become a paradise in the middle of the Andaman with beautiful beaches including Talowow Bay, Mo Bay, Son Bay and Phantemalaka Bay. The national park also has accommodation and/or camping areas available.
