Leadership, Education, & Networking Opportunities Welcome to our community of women helping women. Networking: The Power of Connection Being an entrepreneur can be tremendously rewarding, but it can be incredibly stressful too! One way to both reduce stress and increase the reward is by growing a vibrant, supportive personal network. Just how important is networking to the long-term success of your business? As successful business owners (Vitaerobics.com, The Time Management Expert), and Co-Managing Directors of eWomenNetwork in Phoenix, we can tell you that it is essential! Don’t just take our word for it; a recent study found that as much as 75 percent of all business is created through networking! The term “networking” is used, and misused, a lot. First, and most importantly, networking is NOT about selling. And, it’s not about giving away as many business cards as you can, either. Instead, to be successful, think of networking as an opportunity to develop key relationships and create powerful partnerships. It involves both learning about others and helping others learn about you. The success of your network is not measured by the number of business cards you collect. Instead, it is measured by the number of quality connections you make and the relationships you build. You may be surprised at the connections you can make at just one event. Often, when she speaks to groups, Sandra Yancey, the founder and CEO of eWomenNetwork, tells people that, “Everyone you need to grow a thriving business is in this room, right now. You just don’t know them all yet.” You have probably heard it before, but it bears repeating: People like to do business with those they know, like and trust. People have to know you before they can like you, and like you before they can trust you. That’s what quality networking provides – the perfect forum to learn about others and begin to build trust. Here are three key steps for growing your network: Tip #1: Think of every event that you attend as a networking opportunity. You never know who you will meet and how you might be able to support each other. Engage in meaningful conversations, actively looking for ways to help and connect others. This may be simply introducing them to someone you know, offering advice in your area of expertise, or identifying ways that you both might benefit from collaborating. Some of our best connections have come when we least expect them, so keep your eyes and ears open. For example, I first met Sandra Yancey while attending a training event hosted by another coach. Sandra was there sharing about the eWomenNetwork Foundation (a 501(c)3 charity) and we connected. You just never know who you will meet, or when, so always be open.

Ultimate Woman International

"Build Quality Relationships and Get Connected" Tip #2: Have a plan. Before each event, think about what you want to achieve, and then approach that event with your personal goals in mind. Have an idea of who you want to meet, know what value you and your business offers to others, and be able to clearly articulate what you need in the next 30 days to grow your business. When attending any type of business event, we always set goals for how many people we are going to meet and who we would like to connect with. Tip #3: Follow-up, follow-up, follow-up. Many people who attend networking events, never reach out after the event to the contacts they’ve made. Remember, it’s not about how many business cards you collect. It’s about beginning the “know-like-trust” process, and that almost always takes more than one brief encounter. Making follow-up phone calls, sending promised information, or just checking in is a great start. Offering additional information that wasn’t specifically mentioned is another great way to help build a new relationship. We often send people articles or ideas that we think might be of interest to them. First, we genuinely want to help them, and second, it reminds them that we are thinking of them and the success of their business. Apply these three tips each time you attend a business or personal event and watch your network grow in both size and quality. Remember, focus on quality first. A small, quality network is much more valuable. How many “friends” do you have on Facebook or LinkedIn, and how many of them do you really know? An effective networking strategy should be focused on quality, not quantity. eWomenNetwork is the premier networking organization for entrepreneurial women (and smart men!). We can support you at all phases of your business – from start-up to growth to leveraging. eWN is a community of success-minded entrepreneurs and business professionals focused on helping our members in three key areas: Acquiring clients, marketing and access and education. Our philosophy is “giving first and sharing always” and “lifting as you climb.” If you can take on more business and would love to learn more about how eWomenNetwork can support you and your business we would love to connect.

Bringing out the best in you! A little about me...I am married and have been with my husband for 10 years. I am a lover of dogs, horses, being outside and camping. However, what I love doing the most is being a life purpose coach. I like working with individuals that are looking to build trust within a partnership of coach and client. I am the kind of coach that leans on my values. I am open-minded and judgment free; it’s the only way I coach. I never have an agenda, which means I'm only looking out for the best in you. You will always have my undivided attention during our sessions, either on the phone or in person. When I meet someone that is a great fit, I work with them for one hour a week for a few months or even several years. The type of person I look for are individu als that are open minded, loving, caring and are ready for change. I love working with people that are tired of just going through the motions of life; tired of deal ing with stress and anxiety and are ready to start working for a positive change. When you are ready, I will guide you with love and strength and watch you become the person you want to be and choose the life you want to live. These transformations are the fuel that keep me going every day. I am fulfilled when I get the chance to watch someone rebuild the trust and love within them selves. I look forward to Bringing Out The Best In You!

Join us for our Exciting Energy Workshop: First, participants in the workshop take an ELI (Energy Leadership Index) Assessment. The ELI is a 70 question assessment that allows me to understand the different energy levels that an individual resides in during times of normal life and times of stress. The ELI offers me insight into the dynamics of your company and individual teams and provides me the opportunity to completely tailor the coaching work足 shop to your team. The workshop is fun, educational and developmental for each employee because each individual is able to make a connection between the concepts and their individual ELI results. Throughout the workshop, I provide a fun and laid back environment for your team. I walk the whole team through a journey of self-discovery and help each individual determine who they are at work and who they are at home with the goal of creating balance and productivity. If the team is prepared to grow and self-reflect, the workshop will help them discover who they are, what makes them tick, what triggers them and what they can do to help each other stay in the higher levels of energy.

If you think you could benefit from the Energy Workshop, please give me a call and I would more than happy to meet and get to know you to see if we are a good fit. I also offer periodic workshops for individuals. Please feel free to call or email me for more information. Sincerely, Brittany Ehrick Bringing Out The Best In You!, LLC Phone: 602-796-5541 Brittehrick@gmail.com Ultimate Woman International

Are you a good business professional? What does that exactly mean? Well typically it can be described as a particular skill set. Communication RSVP, continuous learning about your business, the people whom you do business with, and oh yea an all-time favorite, discipline! Ugh. Well it really does beg the question… how dedicated are you to building yourself and your business? Now of course we would all like to brag that we are the best, when in truth we fall short. Like, communication. Do you know that things like our e-mails, texts, posts, and other forms truly play a part? How about the length, font and grammar say a lot about us. They all express a type of emotion. So good, so bad. As you do your best to convey your message, “hoping that you are reaching your target market” people will dissect most if not all of your message. Switching a few gears, How many times have you RSVP’d for an event and not shown up. Not because you really had an emergency, or actually forgot. But, you blew it off; that’s a totally on you. In truth, it really affects others. They plan for you to be there, and others that attend may be looking forward to meeting you. Just to say if you plan to go be present if not cancel if needed. Most understand and you get “cool points” for thinking of others. Now this one is really a humdinger.. do you take time to invest in you? Do you attend seminars’, learn from others, and connect with likeminded people? Growing a business takes time. In fact, about 10,000 hours; according to very successful people. As, we all have our “bumps in the road” it really comes down to how we deal with them. It’s, 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it! As the old saying goes “don’t reinvest yourself, adapt to it” then put your personal stamp on it. Do yourself a favor and use the tools that are readily available to you to educate yourself and become an expert in your field! Let me ask you; Who do you do business with? This is very important because yours and their reputation may be at stake. As well all know the best customer/ client is one that has been referred to you! Then of course you give your very best service and they become a walking billboard for you. Ultimate Woman International

Are you indispensable? Perhaps you're frequently told by people that they don't know what they'd do without you. It makes you feel important. Maybe you make the world's best lemon pie. And after you're gone, your kids will reminisce about what a great pie Mom used to make. But wouldn't it be even better if you had given them the recipe so they could actually make it themselves? How much more important are your financial records? Think for a moment… if someone had to take over for you in an emergency, would they be able to keep your affairs running smoothly? Here are some points to consider:    

 

Identify your “backup team.” - Your spouse, partner or a trusted family member should know what you know, and vice versa. List your bills - Start with rent or mortgage, utilities, minimum payments on credit cards, car payments, and anything else you pay on a regular monthly basis. Don’t forget less frequent bills like annual fees & dues. Create a calendar – Note the deadlines for each bill, and when you usually pay them and how you pay them (check, auto draft, credit card). Provide physical access – Your back-up team will need to know where appropriate files & keys are located. Do you have a safety deposit box? Will they need access to bank accounts? Maybe set up a Power of Attorney so they can make necessary payments. Prioritize - If money were tight, which bills would get paid before others? All the other stuff – In case of the ultimate tragedy, your back-up team should know what accounts you have, the username and passwords so they can close them, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, eBay and a 1,000 others.

If handling the finances is not your regular job, but suddenly fell to you, would you know what to do? So maybe you are the backup team too. This month, vow to share this vital info with your back-up team. You feel better knowing that if you were not there, it wouldn’t be an additional burden figuring out all these important pieces. That's better than being indispensable any day.

Making Finances Indispensable Now may be a good time to take a second look at your finances and long term plans. Guidance from a qualified financial professional can help you think about the best ways to plan for the future and manage your money. After School Activities can give your child skills for a lifetime. Taking time for your children are not only necessary but, can make a big difference in their learning process and social skills. Do you allow your kids to spend all of their leisure time parked in front of the television or playing video games, parents who encourage their children to participate in activities outside of the home are helping in their development. I have seen many parents who either home school or hold their children back from interacting with others. Unfortunately, this keeps them in a sheltered environment. Some tips to help get them out of your and their comfort zone include:

Physical Find a sport or activity like dance that can not only give them exercise but help with their coordination. Also these days child obesity is off the chart. Physical Activity can create good habits for a lifetime. Creativity: the beautiful side of this activity is to be able to see your children grow beyond their imaginations. Just think you could have the net Van Gogh on your hands.

Release Stress Like Peer Pressure In this complex world, even children can feel stress. They are expected to do well in school and can often be subject to peer pressure. Activities that take place in a nopressure environment and are just for fun are a good way to relax and enjoy meeting new friends.

Team work It amazed me how many people forget the importance of this lifelong skill. The joy of learning lifelong lessons about sportsmanship can give a understanding that it isn't always about winning, but about participating and giving your best effort. Children are precious and a joy to watch grow and become a part of todays society. I hope that these tips help give you and your children confidence to try different activities.
