Letter From Madam Prez
Salutations! Hope everyone is doing well and ended their 1st Semester strong sa we blazed (pun intended) our way to the final months of this school and Key Club year! Just a few more months then youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re free from homework and responsibilities (kind of)! :) As you all know, we have finalized our list for DCON but donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t let this discourage you, thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s next year! KM Key Club will be in the frontline, in addition many other schools, will be representing the faces of the Future; hence the Future of Service. The Pre-Con date has yet to be announced but when it does, DCON members please mark your dates and make sure you are free, as we have less than 2 months until District Convention 2016! We will continue to have events after DCON, so keep your eyes out and start those hours early before Summer comes! Definitely attend events and meetings during the Summer for signups! Proceeding on with this letter of mine, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshman, do your work and never let yourself fall behind. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s the final stretch and you all can do it! â&#x20AC;&#x153;Weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re all in this together, once we know, that we are, weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re all starsâ&#x20AC;?...Yes, I did â&#x20AC;&#x153;singâ&#x20AC;? High School Musical. Again, in a little over 4 months, the current Seniors will graduate and the Juniors will become Seniors, Sophomores become Juniors, and so on. (Do not bully the incoming Freshmen, okay?) Make lots of memories and get rid of any negativity and drama, because that shouldnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t be what youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll remember of your High School years! My fellow Seniors, 4 months and 1 day to go till we mark the end of this chapter sporting our white and blue, wearing our crowns with pride, moving our tassel to the other side, and leave for the next chapter of our lives. "WEâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;RE KIND OF A B16 DEAL", being Seniors, so continue to work hard in order to achieve your goals and dreams. So, for the next month and a half left of my term, I will do the best of my abilities to provide events, information, memories, advice, everything within my power to make sure this club stays how it is; a family. (Advice #1: DO YOUR CULMINATING PROJECT.) Information regarding graduation stoles will be announced soon! Thank you to those that read and got to this point (lol)! Thank you everyone so far that's been a part of this organization, helping me stay on my feet, cause y'all are toasty hot đ&#x;&#x201D;Ľ (pun intended), and created awesome memories for me and the other seniorsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s final chapter in Key Club and high school. Name: Rheneal Jonn Genson Class: 2017 Favorite Key Club event: August DCM, because I got to meet amazing people there and it was my first Key Club event as a Junior! What are you most looking forward to at DCON: MEETING EVEN MORE PEOPLE. Having even more bonding time with all the Key Clubbers. I look forward to this because Key Clubbers have influenced me the greatest in my life and I want to stay influenced by them â&#x20AC;Š
Events in Review January // February Congratulations to KMKC 2016-2017 board, Calvin Nguyen, Simon Manivong, Nathan Nguyen, Lexie Lam, Marlon Gapuz, and LB Crisanto! As for events, one of the key to success for DCON attendees are HUG-ME signs. Thanks to Kentwood and Kent-Meridian Key Club we were able to obtain the keys to success. This month included basketball concessions here and there as well as a huge wrestling tournament for those who needed an extra push for DCON hours. The rest of our time was focused on DCON preparations!
