Hey Key Clubbers! I hope you're all enjoying your summer so far, we're almost half way through, can you believe it? Well, as you know, summer can be a lazy time, but doesn't mean service will end! Definitely stay tuned and keep a lookout for lots of service opportunities over the summer. This is a great opportunity to rack up those hours for DCON and once school hits, you'll only have a few hours left until you meet the requirements. Note that the DCON requirement may be subjected to change, so get those hours while you can and have lots of free time on your hands! Don't forget to attend rallies and DCMs. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, learn more about Key Club, and recruit new members! Now, I'd like to note that there are many rallies during the summer. I advise you to come to one and see what's the hype all about, especially Seattle Rally! It's basically a mini-DCON with fun workshops, icebreakers, and whatnot. Come out and represent not only KentMeridian but also Division 32! It's at Northwood Middle School, on Weds July 29th. Further details can be found on the Seattle Rally event page! Once again, congratulations to the Class of 2015 on a wonderful, memorable Key Club and school year. All of you are on your way for another journey, towards college or the working field. Just because your Key Club journey has ended, doesn't mean service will. Continue to serve your community, college, and family/friends, forever keeping the flame of a D32 dragon burning in your hearts. You will all be missed and know that KM Key Club is in great hands as I, Kimberly Thien Ly, solemnly vow and promise you as the newly-elected President for the 2015-2016 term that we will continue to provide service, build character, be leaders and set an example for next class as we all transition into the next year. We will continue the traditions and carry your spirits into the new year and years to follow! You can count on us, we won't let you down. If you have any questions, comments, complicated, or concerns feel free to message me or any of the oďŹƒcers through Facebook! I don't bite nor do they. In Love and Service, Madam Prez
Letter from the President
The Month of June was quite a productive one, we started it with our installation banquet where all of the oďŹƒcers in D32 came together along with members having the innies give memorable speeches to the outties as they pass on their role as oďŹƒcers. Afterwards, We collaborated with Kentridge Key Club to plan the Kent's Amazing race. It was a huge success, and our fellow clubs grew even closer. Congrats to GROUP 1 for winning first place! Moving on to the beginning of July, we went to Denali federal credit union's grand opening to help them decorate and also dress up as a mascot, earning our club more than $200! Not even a hot day can stop us đ&#x;˜„. To continue July strong, we went to the Kent's pacific raceway and help set-up, gave out food, and wash dishes. Some of our members even stayed an extra hours! "That's why your Key Club Rocks" - John Bruns. It was an amazing experience seeing cars people don't see everyday go super fast!
