What love you have given us, O God, that we should be called your children. What love you have given us, O Christ, that we should share a table with you. Forgive us, O Christ, maker of peace, and teach us to follow in your way. Receive our silent prayers of confession.

This is the good news which we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved, if we hold it fast: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day; and that he appeared first to the women. then to Peter, and to the Twelve, and then to many faithful witnesses. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus Christ is the first and the last, the beginning and the end; he is our Lord and our God. Amen.

Go forth and tell where still the darkness lies; in wealth or want, the sinner surely dies: give us, O Lord, concern for heart and mind, a love like yours which cares for humankind. Go forth and tell! The doors are open wide: share God’s good gifts let no one be denied; live out your life as Christ your Lord shall choose, your ransomed powers for his sole glory use. We walk by faith and not by sight; no gracious words we hear from him who spoke as none e’er spoke, but we believe him near.
