INTROIT Blest Be the Tie That Binds

David Cherwien Pine Street Quartet

Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love; the unity of heart and mind is like to that above. Before our Father’s throne we pour our ardent prayers; our fears, our hopes, our aims are one, our comforts, and our cares. We share our mutual woes, our mutual burdens bear, and often, and often for each other flows the sympathizing tear. From sorrow, toil, and pain, and sin we shall be free; and perfect love and friendship reign through all eternity.

SALUTATION

The Reverend Dr. Russell C. Sullivan, Jr.

CALL TO WORSHIP One: Sing to our God a new song. Many: God has done marvelous things! One: Make a joyful noise to the Lord! Many: Break forth into joyous song and sing praises. One: Let the sea roar and all that fills it. Many: Let the world and its people sing together for joy!
