† PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Rev. Potter
You sent your Son, O God, to give us eternal life. You send us also, as Christ's followers to make known your will. We confess to you the weakness of our witness. We tolerate evil, accept injustice, avoid the needy and ignore the lonely. Lord, have mercy on us. Purify our lives and take away our sin. Make our lives one with Jesus Christ, that the world may know your truth and find in us the good news of your love. Hear our silent prayers.

† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH 2 Corinthians 5
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting our trespasses against us, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us.
† THE PEACE
One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Many: And also with you.
