This was the most comprehensive field study conducted in the SHRP2 project resulting in the collection of nearly 130 miles of data. This field study incorporated lessons learned from the previous field surveys and used a more rigorous data collection procedure. Six sections, differed by the mix design or number of roller passes, were tested. This time, over 30 cores were used for the calibration model for the entire paving project (Figure 34) with a reasonable fit (R2 = 0.74).
