10k pints drunk at festival Lincoln CAMRA’s beer festival once again grew in popularity this year with nearly 4000 visitors and over 10,000 pints drank over the three days. amazing day recently? There’s a reason.
May is inexplicably a month of many bank
holidays. Wonderful for some, brilliant for the ninetofivers but not too good for the bar staff, waiters, chefs and retail workers in our lives.
Whilst you were sunning yourself in a beer
garden or chilling out with a BBQ in your own these wonderful people were working hard to get you a cool pint or a hot coffee. Bank holidays are like having three busy Saturday nights in a row. They’re hard, tiring and then they finally get to the Monday and they're asked “How did you spend your bank holiday?”. Working!
Take a moment to raise a glass to people who
handed it to you. Happily pouring your drinks and cooking your food each evening so you don’t have to. Now, get back to work. No more bank holidays until August...
Cheers!
