CAMRA COUNTDOWN Lincoln CAMRA’s annual beer festival kicks off at the Drill Hall, Free School Lane, on Thursday 21st until Saturday 23rd May. There will be over 100 real ales, ciders and perries and an international bottle bar. CAMRA are still looking for volunteers so if you fancy free entry and beer tokens for a few hours of work then get in touch with them on Facebook or Twitter (@Lincoln_CAMRA).
ROGUE SAINT OPENS Irish/American bar hybrid, The Rogue Saint, has opened on Mint Street at the former site of Scy and The Cell. From the same minds as cocktail bar and pub hybrid, The Strait and Narrow, the bar hopes to bring preprohibition style cocktails and quality beer in a relaxing atmosphere. The Rogue Saint will host live music and DJs and has both a dance floor and most importantly comfy sofas. Good whisky, good beer, good music? Sounds like a fantastic new venue for Lincoln. Check out next month’s issue of A.L.E. for a roundup of Lincoln’s thoughts on this new bar.

small venues. Whether it’s a cosy pub or a nice little cafe, the British excel at making a simple building into a positive place for the community. All Lincoln Events (A.L.E) aims to keep Lincoln up to date with what’s going on in our favourite watering holes each month. No more trawling Facebook for your favourite local bands or staring at scrawled chalkboards to find out what time the quiz starts. A.L.E. will bring together all the events Lincoln has to offer in a little monthly zine. Other uses for A.L.E. include bookmarks, beer mats, paper airplanes and kindling.
We’re currently working on bringing together
