Hi Editor, Readers of Polo Times might be interested in the attached photo from London Illustrated News in 1936, of the Beaufort Polo Club that contains eight players from USA, two from Australia and remainder British – quite comfortably making for three 32 goal teams: Five x 10 goals, four x 9 goals, one x 8 goals and three x 7 goals. Polo Celebrities at The Beaufort Polo Club This very interesting group was taken at Colonel Vivian Lockett’s house, Down Farm, Westonbirt, and includes almost all the people who are going to make some more polo history very soon in the International and other matches in London. Dear Polo Times and all contributors I am writing to you as I have thought over the years how beneficial it would be to condense a year’s worth of your editorial into one book. My name is Charlotte Christodoulou and I have been playing polo for almost 18 years. During this time I have accumulated multiple copies of your fabulous magazine. This got me thinking… In December of each year, you could put together for example “The Knowledge” pages that are so informative and helpful. They cover horse welfare and player welfare which are so relevant and useful. That way there could be an annual manual that could be beneficial to all who subscribe. A Christmas Special that helps us mere mortals navigate the wonderful, challenging and mystical world of polo. Best Wishes Charlotte Christodoulou
