Elchin Jamalli has recently returned from an impressive win with Team Azerbaijan Land of Fire in The Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz, which he has added to his impressive European trophy cabinet which also includes wins in The FIP European Championships in both Azerbaijan and Switzerland. For Jamalli, the win in St. Moritz was all the sweeter after having worked incredibly hard for the win over the last four years, with the team first competing in the tournament in 2018
Favourite food/dish? I don’t have a favourite food. When I think there are many children and people that are hungry, I can’t choose a favourite food.

What is your biggest passion and why? I would like to be world famous as an Azerbaijani polo player.
Most prized possession? My most prized possessions are my health and my lovely family. I think that they are everything for me.
What is your all time best polo memory? We participated in The European Championship in Italy; there were eight teams taking part and each of them were ready for the competition. We were also prepared and had the aim to participate in the Final, which we managed to do, it was a very hard match!

Who were/are your favourite teammates? My favourite teammate is Ali Rzayev, we have been playing together for six years.
Best pony and why? My favourite pony is Brujita, from Argentina. Brujita is small but the strongest pony I have ever seen, I use Brujita in every competition which I compete in.
Favourite celebrity and why? My favourite polo celebrity is Adolfo Cambiaso, because he is constantly improving himself and despite his age he is still the best player. Which sports do you like outside of polo? My favourite hobby is playing football, fitness and wrestling. I play football twice a week and I am a good player. Are you passionately superstitious? God has given us everything and man can do anything he wants.
