Mt. Scott Community Center Renovation Project
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is preparing to expand and improve Mt. Scott Community Center (MSCC). When the project is complete, the center will better serve Portlanders with an additional 2,776 square feet of recreation space, new and improved fitness and aerobics areas, a large event hall for community use, and more.
What To Expect at MSCC This Fall
Construction will begin in December 2023 and require a complete facility moveout. We anticipate the community center will be fully closed during the 18-month construction period.
• Registered classes will continue to take place at MSCC through November 5, 2023.
• Drop-in activities will continue as space is available this fall.
Where To Find Activities While MSCC Is Closed
Please visit one of PP&R’s other community centers. East Portland Community Center and Pool is less than five miles away.
We expect to welcome you to the new and improved Mt. Scott Community Center in mid-late summer 2025.
