Van Transportation: Hikers meet at the designated community center and travel to the trailhead in our 15-passenger van.
Prerequisite: Hikers must have qualified for Level 2 Hike for Health within the last year to participate. This includes those who attended any Difficult rated Metro Mover hike in the last year. Please call Lifelong Recreation at 503-823-4328 to confirm your qualification status.

Mileage listed is the total length of the hike. Elevation listed is cumulative elevation gain, adding all uphill portions of the trail.

Hike a well-graded trail through old-growth forest from Wapinitia Pass to Lower and Upper Twin Lakes. Lunch at Upper Twin Lake.
Pick-up location: East Portland Community Center
Hike the discovery trail starting at Beard’s Hollow through marshland and forest to Ilwaco and back in Cape Disappointment State Park.
Pick-up location: Matt Dishman Community Center
Hike through forest and along a bluff to Cape Lookout, expansive ocean views and the possibility of seeing whales.

This is a beautiful, short hike to amazing, panoramic views. Mt Hood hovers over the trail, mountains surround the viewpoint, and Eastern Oregon opens up grandly to the east. An easy hike, with no scary ridges. Expect a long lunch at the top in order to enjoy the views.

Hike through woods and along scenic Cold Spring Creek to Tamanawas Falls and back. Pick-up location: East Portland Community Center
From the Elk Meadows trailhead, hike up to Umbrella Falls, and then down to Sahalie Falls and back.

Hike along the John Day River in Cottonwood Canyon State Park. Unusual cliff formations, desert wildflowers and possible bighorn sheep sightings.
Hike scenic silver creek canyon past eight large waterfalls, ancient basalt cliffs, and oldgrowth trees.

Hike scenic Silver Creek canyon past or behind eight waterfalls, ancient basalt cliffs and old growth trees. Lunch at the historic lodge and return on the rim trail.
Explore the newly restarted Eagle Creek Trail as far as High Bridge.
