Forest Bathing

Experience the restorative and healing power of slowing down and spending time in the natural world through Forest Bathing. Research indicates that two to three hours of intentional time in a forested environment can boost immune response, reduce anxious thinking, and settle the nervous system. To reconnect to the natural world and cultivate calm, we will explore sensory practices informed by Japanese shinrin yoku, or literally a forest bath (with clothes on and not getting wet). Walks are at a slow pace on flat paths. However, there may be uneven ground to navigate.
