Alpacas at Marquam Hill Ranch

Visit the beautiful 18+ acre Marquam Hill alpaca farm in Molalla and meet the family that started it all. We'll take an in-depth private tour of the farm with hands-on opportunities to learn about these amazing animals. After our tour, there's time to check out the farm shop, which features yarns, rugs and handknit items made from the fiber of the very alpacas you've met. Bring money for purchases and lunch.

Petroglyph Hike

Take an archaeological journey on a Ranger-guided hike in the Horsethief Lake area of Washington's Columbia Hills State Park. View the petroglyphs and pictographs at this National Historic Site, including Tsagagalal, "She Who Watches". Afterwards, we'll have lunch in the Dalles. Fee includes guided tour. Bring money for lunch in the Dalles. It's recommended that you bring water, sturdy shoes (not sandals), walking sticks, a sun hat, sunscreen, and a windbreaker or rain jacket. The area can be windy and there is no shade. Bring binoculars if you have them. The hike will take about 2 hours and cover less than a mile. It is not strenuous, but there are no places to sit, and there are short sections of rough rock and steep grade.
