HASSAN YOUNES (HY) AND SARIFA ALONTO-YOUNES (SAY) PGMAG: So good to have the two of you on today’s interview with Lady Anita. HY: Thank you for the opportunity to be in this interview. It’s a pleasure to be here. SAY: Thank you for the privilege, Lady Anita. PGMAG: You are a dual force in the world of business and education, and so many people have benefited from your services; how do the both of you manage to work so well together? 4

HY: I always believe that the best partnership in any business arrangement is between husband and wife. As husband and wife, we both have the same goals and visions for our future and for our children. We are blessed as a couple as we share the same values and ambitions. This makes it very easy and comfortable to work with one another as husband and wife in our businesses. Even if we have the strongest disagreements in terms of business decisions, we always manage to come to a common ground and make the right decision. Of course,
SAY: The best partners in business are husband and wife. I am comfortable and enjoy working together with my husband. We are both passionate with what we do together. We share the same values, vision and dreams and wecomplement with each other. We are both fortunate to have each other as we not only husband and wife but a partner in business, decision making, education and to name but a few. There are areas that my husband is good at and some areas that I excel. Wherever
I am excelling I do them and I leave the rest to my husband. Worse scenario, we hire someone to do things we are not good at so we don’t waste our time and energy. Likewise, we support and nurture each other. My husband is always my biggest supporter in whatever I do. PGMAG: Hassan, you have an interesting background (aerospace engineering). How were you able to marry your experiences as an aerospace engineer into building global successful businesses?
We are blessed as a couple as we share the same values and ambitions. This makes it very easy and comfortable to work with one another as husband and wife in our businesses.

Whether it’s in meetings, engineering analysis, presentations, reporting or just simply analysing certain situations. Also being elevated to Project Manager in my engineering role, gave me the additional managerial skills and expertise to commence or star-tup our first business. So, when I started the setup of our business I was able to develop and produce an extremely accurate and factual business plans and feasibility studies that presented precise scenario of the proposed business as an ongoing concern. Being an engineer with an analytical mind has assisted 6

me in developing all of our business using accurate and precise business plans, cash flow projections and marketing analysis. I believe this is probably the secret to the successes of all our business in Australia and overseas.
PGMAG: Sarifa, you are a leading leader in the educational industry, and you have successfully brought positive change in the lives of so many around the world. As someone who is passionate about women empowerment, what are some of the steps women needed to take in

HY & SAY: We have few events coming on small and large scale. Our big project that we have coming up in 2021 is the “Authors Book Launch & Expo 2021” which is being held on 1 & 2 October. We are planning this event to be a hybrid event and streamed live on multiple media platforms. It will be an event of celebration, sharing and learning. We are also hosting a Gala awards night on the

PGMAG: How can one become a transformational leader? HY: In my keynotes and executive training that I deliver I always talk about the ten characteristics of a transformational leader. These characteristics can be acquired or learned in one’s journey in becoming a transformational leader. 1. Competency: A person can not lead if he or she lacks
the competency to influence others. 2. Visionary: In. general terms, we are indirective if we do not possess a vision or purpose. 3. Charisma: Charisma plays a major role in being able to transform followers. 4. Effective Communicator & Listener: We all know how important effective and clear communication in any relationship. 5. Aspirational & Inspirational person: We cannot transform ourselves or transform our team if we are not. 6. A Risk taker: Transformation requires and involves risk at all times. HY: In 1997, I graduated with an honours degree in Aerospace engineering from RMIT University. I secured an excellent career with the Australian Department of defence then went on to become a project Manager with Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Sounds astronomical, right? But financially, it was not. With a young family to support at that time, we were struggling to make ends meet. I wanted to achieve financial freedom and flexibility for my family, but also I wanted to become an “Entrepreneur”, actually I wanted to become an “entrepreneur” way before it was cool to be an “Entrepreneur”. So, I did the obvious, I established multiple successful businesses including a childcare centre, three travel agency, a registered training organisation, an international school in the Philippines and other businesses. PGMAG: Considering the current global challenge (covid-19), what are some of the steps needed to stay relevant in the marketplace?

HY: From my personal perspective, to stay relevant in the market place we need to constantly upgrade our knowledge & skills and always plan ahead of our current time. We need to constantly forecast how our industry is being shaped. We need to constantly understand the pain points of the clients or the market itself. So in simple steps I would always say: 1 – Elevate your knowledge through new learning 2- Upgrade your thoughts through reading and research 3 – Acquire best practices from expert thought leaders SAY: When we encounter inevitable obstacles, our mobility is impacted and can be impaired to a certain degree, thus we may need to learn to adapt to various situations. For instance, the obstacle of the COVID-19 pandemic forced everyone to social lockdown for safety and wellbeing which hinders our physical mobility that evokes mental or cognitive flexibility, honing our social networking, financial or business transactions and marketing through digital platform. I talked about this chapter in Mobility Moves Minds which I am a co-author.

PGMAG: What are your messages for World Leaders? HY: My message to world leaders is do not let success go to your head. It starts so slowly that it’s hard to notice, but success can change anyone from good to bad. The first step is to be aware of it and not let success go to your head and ruin your leadership style, your global political relationships and the entire government agencies. As a global world leader, it is so easy to become complacent when you achieve your goals successively and successfully. But it’s also extremely dangerous. That trait could ruin your political relationships, your political

SAY: Quality education is the solution for social, political and economic challenges globally. Today, the world demands moments where the power of women’s leadership must be acknowledged. Women must be educated and recognised to illuminate the world in their unique way. We all have the responsibility and the capacity to stand in our power, embrace our vulnerabilities and amplify our strengths in our approach to empower future generations of women through education. PGMAG: Finally, what would you each say to your younger selves? HY: My message to my younger self is this: “Stay on track you will achieve all your goals and become a highly successful global personality and influencer” SAY: You are born with a purpose and to serve humanity. PGMAG: It has been an absolute pleasure to have

DR. MARY FALTZ (DMF) PGMAG: Dr. Mary, welcome to today’s interview with Lady Anita. DMF: Thank you for having me, it is lovely meeting you. PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself. DMF: I am an accidental author, a clinical research scientist, a pharmacist and a single mother of 4. I was born in Dubai, grew up in Luxembourg, lived in Brighton for 11 years and returned to Luxembourg 9 years ago. I am the second born and eldest daughter in a family of 6 children. I put my own father in prison after 16 horrid years of sexual abuse. Facing my own mortality following a diagnosis of a rare and aggressive cancer at the age of 37, I unexpectedly wrote a book that will certainly empower others facing any adversity life throws at them. It is a powerful testimony of human resilience in the face of life’s cruel punches. Cancer made me want to shout and have a voice that is going to be heard, loud and clear. I am determined to raise awareness of childhood sexual abuse. No child should have to endure the horrible years of pain, shame and guilt that I had to go through. I will make my voice heard for all those who can’t, for all those who have been silenced by fear. Currently, still in chemotherapy until May, I am very grateful to have received the news that I am now cancer free.

PGMAG: With all you have been through and still going through, how do you manage to stay positive? DMF: Throughout the years, I have sharpened my survival tools in order to get through heavy adversities and rebound time and time again. The positive mindset is definitely a big factor that allows me to remain pragmatic when solving an issue despite the huge emotional burden. One should look for that little positive in the overall negative that will become the main driving force to make it through the turbulence. Nevertheless,
The ultimate aim is to not let these negative feelings take over and flood our minds, preventing us from moving forward. Once the initial shock is absorbed, one needs to start being pro-active and rationally tackle the issue. I surround myself with positivity and reject pity, which has no added value other than preventing me from moving forward. Whenever I have self-doubts of not safely getting through the current storm, I am fortunate to have David by my side to reassure me that all will be well. I remind myself with motivational notes on my mirror that I am worthy and can overcome any struggle if I believe I can. I smile at myself in the mirror even when I don’t feel like it as this sends a signal to my brain that ‘all is well’ even when it is not. I consciously watch funny movies and stand-up comedy in order to constantly boost my immune system. With so much strength and love given to me by my children, David and his children, I manage to push through the heavy storm, regardless of any pain I may be
experiencing. PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? DMF: I would definitely put myself first. I would never run on an empty tank again with my body and mind totally disconnected from each other. I would remind myself that I must look after myself in order to be the fittest mother for my children. I would be kinder to myself and stop putting pressure on myself in order to adhere to society’s definition of happiness. Gratitude comes with struggles and the more you have to overcome in life, the more you will appreciate the little things that make it all worthwhile. PGMAG: Please tell us about your new book. DMF: My book Cruelly Betrayed was written by accident. Upon waking up following a long and complicated surgery, only to learn that my cancer had spread, I was overcome by overwhelming fear. Facing my own mortality, I started typing on my hospital bed. The original aim was to leave my truth in a tangible form with my children in case the cancer

Effortlessly typing page after page made me realise that a big chapter of my life was not over yet and that I had a lot to say which until then, I was not aware of. These pages have created themselves within 8 weeks during chemo- and radiotherapy. Cancer is only one chapter and without cancer, the other chapters could never have been written. The book was typed in the middle of a still, ongoing heavy storm making it very authentic as feelings of fear, pain, sadness, anger, love and determination are clearly felt in live action within the pages. It is my first draft, and the reader will be immersed in my intimate diary. Cruelly Betrayed will empower people facing

we should welcome the feelings of sadness, anger and pain as they have their valid place when the emotional trauma is too big to handle in the beginning.

any sort of adversity and aims to raise awareness of a heavy taboo topic, that is childhood sexual abuse. The official book launch is on 15th March 2021. PGMAG: As a woman, what is your message for those who are struggling with low selfesteem? DMF: Low self-esteem often stems from the unhealthy foundations that were set way back in our childhood. These foundations are the baseline that will determine who we become many decades later. Our personality, our life choices, our self-image and the way we present ourselves to the world are all influenced by that same baseline. My message to those struggling with low self-esteem would be to dig into the past in order to understand where these feelings of low self-worth are originating from. It is important to be aware of the source of the issue in order to be able to create change. I would then suggest taking a pen and paper and write a letter to yourself. Consciously challenging the negative beliefs about yourself such as ‘I am not smart, pretty, good enough’ on paper is very powerful. By trying to rationally justify these beliefs will give you an insight

The best ideas come from the most unlikely citizens. on how real they truly are. You can then list positive aspects about yourself and stick them to your mirror as a daily reminder that you are worthy. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you and push you forward with positivity and spend less time with those that tend to bring you down, consciously or unconsciously. Try and say ‘NO’. The more you practise it, the easier it will become to be assertive when putting your needs first before other people’s feelings. PGMAG: What are the top three books that change your life? DMF: I may not be your typical author as I am not a bookworm. I rarely get the time to read and if I am honest, the books that I recall reading are children’s
books at bedtime. One of them, being my absolute favourite is Mon Amour by Astrid Desbordes. If I had to choose two more that have impacted my life then I’d list Get your Sh!t together by Sarah Knight and STEP – The Parent’s handbook by Don Dinkmeyer Sr and Jr and Gary McKay. PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders? DMF: No matter the nature of the issue, be it political, environmental, social, economic or medical, world leaders should regularly involve the input from their people. The best ideas come from the most unlikely citizens. When tackling a particular issue, the governments should brainstorm with people from various social classes, genders, ages and backgrounds in order to elicit ‘out of the box’ thinking. The leaders may be positively surprised about the unexpected, yet very smart ideas aimed at approaching the complicated issue. PGMAG: What are some of the important steps to being a changemaker in the world? DMF: I believe that each one of us can be a changemaker. Whether the personal

DCB: I'm a diversity and inclusion consultant and leadership strategist, executive coach, and keynote speaker passionate about creating companies where Millennials want to work. For over 20 years, I've presented talks on generational differences, racial justice, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and the necessity for intergenerational education within corporate, non-profit, and government sectors. I was named an emerging leader under 40 by the NYC Mayor's Center for Faith and Community Partnership, presented my PechaKucha on diversity and inclusion at Oxford University, and was a consultant for Thrivent and numerous non-profits and corporations. And it’s been the greatest blessing for my business. Before this pandemic, I had my five-year plan written in stone. I was all set to move to Manhattan, teach in academia, and continue with my non-profit work in the city. However, life did not go according to plan. If anything, life took my plans and placed me on a completely different path. It's been a year, and every goal that I mentioned

PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself. HE: My name is Hana Esselink, I’m based in London in the UK and I am a spiritual and intuitive teacher and an Intuitive Soul Mentor. I use my clairvoyant skills, a gift I’ve had since I was 7-years-old, to help people unblock their challenges and move forwards in their lives with confidence. I’m also an author and I have a background in Public Relations and Communications for 18 years. PGMAG: As an intuitive and Spiritual mentor, what would you suggest to someone who is struggling to deal with past trauma? HE: I think a lot of people struggle with trauma on some

My readings and sessions help people to understand and start to heal any negative programming, including traumas, which are not serving them. This gives them clarity, saves time and brings more focus and purpose into their lives. I love empowering people to be the best version of themselves and to help others achieve their goals around them too. As people release their pain or trauma, they obviously grow into their true self. PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? HE: I wouldn’t waste my time with people who aren’t right for me, although there is always a lesson in that too! It’s about a fictional café in Soho, London that is a mystical place. The café has an intriguing mix of quirky ‘regulars’ that help shape the beliefs and personality of Nina the narrator, after the death of her beloved grandmother. Searching for answers beyond death, in the café Nina meets
people who open her eyes to the world and to the worlds behind the world. After much soul searching, Nina finally finds the answers to difficult questions amidst the array of cafe goers, including the philosophical James, the enigmatic Buddhist Eric and the temperamental Brazilian cafe owner, Davla. Their personal stories help Nina in her search for the 'truth' as she embarks on a magical journey through her imagination, brought to life in the café. Her questions about faith, life and death, mingled with the stories of everyday losses and joys, stir the café to provide answers in very unusual ways. But when Nina returns to the café after a five year absence, she finds that it has closed down. The question remains whether the cafés’ red canopy truly shaded a doorway to higher consciousness or had it all just been her imagination? PGMAG: As a woman, what is your message for those who are struggling with low selfesteem? HE: Everyone can struggle with low self esteem from time to time, even the strongest

Once you start to develop self-awareness, your journey becomes one of healing and trusting the Universe/God, having more faith in yourself and your environment. This can take time and can be challenging, but ultimately it’s great to heal yourself and help others too, if you can.

The important thing is not to stay stuck in that place and recognise low self esteem for what it is, which is basically a place of continuing to be stuck for whatever reasons, not fulfilling your potential or moving on. It can be very challenging to come out of that place, as low self esteem can cripple you and make you feel like you will never change. I would say never give up, there is always hope and faith. For those of you who believe in the power of prayer, which is energetically a very high vibration and it doesn’t have to be religious either, pray for the right people or situations to show up in your life. Also keep looking for the answer, there will be one. I come from a traumatic childhood in West London, and I had to learn how to heal myself through therapy and understand myself a lot better. This was a lonely process, yet all that healing has proven invaluable and has given me lots of positive experiences. There are many layers to us and it can take time, so be patient with yourself and kind too. I know how my clients feel because I’ve been there. PGMAG: What are the top three books that changed your

life? HE: I’ve read a lot and there are some great books I can recommend. I absolutely loved Ben Okri’s The Famished Road, I read that years ago and the descriptions of poverty and spirituality in the book are amazing, I remember crying at parts of it. Many people didn’t like the book, but it was a game changer for me because it showed two very different realms. I also liked The Power and The Glory by Graham Greene, which is about a worldly priest, ‘the whisky priest’ on the run from persecution of clergymen in Mexico. As his own situation becomes worse whilst he is on the run, he begins to really cultivate compassion and humanity and understand what that means more than ever before. The third book is Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman, which I read when I was much younger and loved instantly. It’s sold millions and rightly so! It’s the story of a man who meets an old man called Socrates at a gas station, and his life is changed forever. Essentially, it’s about his awakening into spirituality and travelling into realms of
light and our own shadow and overcoming the limitations of the mind. There are many more books I could recommend, but these will do for now! PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders? HE: I’m not sure that I specifically have a message for world leaders. Maybe something like listen more to the people, be fair to people and cultivate compassion and humanity more, it’s really needed at the moment. Also, to really help out with the mental health issue, which is huge world-wide challenge and has risen significantly more during lockdown. What practical measures can world leaders take to really educate communities and people and help them to feel happier and more fulfilled in their own lives? I realise this is a huge issue, but it does need to be tackled now more than ever before. PGMAG: What are some of the things people look for when they engage in your services? HE: People come to me because they feel stuck in an area of life, such as

relationships and love, finances, career or emotionally. They want to move on and either heal what is keeping them stuck, or remove the challenge in one way or another. Emotions are a big deal and I love helping people to untangle their emotions and move forwards to lead lives that are more fulfilling. My readings are great at picking up the challenges people have clairvoyantly, and the one to one sessions enlarge on this process and help people who are feeling isolated, lost in themselves and their direction in life and who blame themselves for a number of things. This is surprisingly common. I help people (mostly
women) identify the blocks that they are experiencing and give them the tools to overcome it. This includes everything from how the past or present is affecting them from making money, to understanding their relationships and themselves better and other challenges too.
Also, people want to grow spiritually and are looking for ways of protecting and maintaining their own energy daily. It’s amazing how a lot of what we think are our own thought processes are actually the thought forms and systems of our other people –

PGMAG: Tell us more about African Women In Cinema Organisation (AAWIC). TR: African American Women In Cinema (AAWIC) organization is a US, nonprofit organization that serves as a continuous support for the vibrant work of women filmmakers of color for the past several decades. AAWIC provides a platform showcasing the aligning experienced and novice filmmakers, directors, producers, screenwriters and/ or actors. Our mission is to expand, explore and create business opportunities for minority women filmmakers throughout the entertainment industry. It is the goal of AAWIC to give artistic women a path to fulfilling their dreams through showcasing their talents, exposure to peers’ interaction, and mentoring by established professionals.
Presently, we have several programs that we are doing. The first is our Monthly AAWIC Educational Series, featuring industry professionals giving unique insight to the attendees chosen profession and the second program is our “Honey Bee campaign.” The Honey Bee campaign gives a million people globally an opportunity to be a “Mover and Shaker” in our organization by donating $1.00 (USD). The support will assist with additional opportunities for women of color filmmakers to have their talent seen and their voices heard, in addition it will provide a learning pathway for our next generation of story tellers (young girl filmmakers).

DR. MEENA SINGH KHADKA
Dr. Meena Singh Khadka, is an educator, women’s rights activist, social worker and an advocate for global women empowerment who has been working tirelessly for over four decades, to bring about positive change to countless lives through her actions to promote women leadership and solidarity. She has been actively involved in various women’s and importantly education projects across the globe, from Japan to the United States, India, DR Congo, and her homeland of Nepal where she is currently involved in a nation wide women's education project alongside leading her women initiatives in community building and promoting women leaders in society. For much of her

professional career, she was involved in teaching and researching in some of the most prestigious universities and academic circles around the world, yet her true passion was always in serving her community in Nepal and especially combating the patriarchy, and the limits placed on women, by expanding new horizons for opportunities and women led projects, in education, healthcare, community building and women rights. Dr. Meena is a firm believer, in the fact that women rights are universal human rights and thus, women have to lead in society to safeguard not only their futures and lives, but ensure the
In the various Himalayan villages of Nepal, where she is most active and believes that her expertise and work ethic is most needed, she transitions from Dr. Meena to, the astute Meena Didi- or, Dear Sister Meena. A figure and name to relate to for many rural women as a pillar of community leadership someone who can tackle the local patriarchy which is so prevalent in these communities and give a voice to these underprivileged women, Meena Didi is truly an inspiration for many most importantly through her ability to achieve much with very little. Throughout her years of service to humanity, she has never relied on any corporate office space or big funding to carry out her
projects but instead relies on her vast network of grassroot organizations and local women leadership nurtured over the years through her unrelenting work to uplift the women of Nepal. Dr. Meena Singh Khadka has been involved in many educational projects including an early project that focused on teaching many illiterate people how to exemplify their identity and validate it in a way, many of them had never experienced before- they learnt how to write their own names. As a firm believer in women's education her belief that an educated woman not only educates herself but her entire family, and in building blockways her entire community Dr. Meena has also organized many women led projects that focus on children's education and scholarship programs that allow for greater social mobility amongst the peoples of the rural communities of Nepal. She has also successfully led major teacher training programs across Nepal, in an effort to modernize their teaching standards and promote effective communication and actions between teachers and students in classrooms. Her works have touched the lives of

Nepal, is one of the countries with highest proportion of people working in foreign countries providing the nation with much needed remittance income however the cost has been that all of the skilled human power has been diverted, and hence, many illiterate and impoverished women of Nepal were thrust into new positions of leadership that they were not accustomed to and lacked the skills to lead their communities. Thus, to counter this grave problem and safeguard these rural societies, Dr. Meena launched her literacy program

Dr. Meena Singh Khadka is currently involved with her largest and most efficient project till date focused on Adult Women Education, throughout multiple districts and communities around rural Nepal. which now operates alongside a vast network of grassroots workers, activists and teachers who not only help uplift the education quality available to these communities but take an active role in conducting healthcare classes, disaster and risk management skills and most importantly organizing the women into a force of good. For perhaps, the first time in her decades long self initiated campaign to empower women, and since the project and network has expanded so much that Dr. Meena Singh Khadka has been seeking global help to bring more awareness to this issue of true women empowerment and expand/continue her projects on a scale that would bring positive changes to the lives of countless communities
throughout the Himalayas of Nepal. Her programs need funding and most importantly now the literacy projects have been successfully implemented over such a vast landscape that a centralized center of operations for the women leadership is now imperative. Dr. Meena is not only an icon for women in this part of the world but even amongst her male peers her works command enormous respect and she has been one of the few grassroots women leaders in this part of the world, to have such a gender boundary transitioning impact and truly combat the patriarchy through her actions to uplift women. Her belief that Women in Education will safeguard the futures of all communities is commendable and her ability to do so much with so little aweinspiring. Truly, her actions have proven to many that Women are capable of leading from the front, in Nepal, and She continues to strive, everyday to better the lives and foster the spirits of Nepalese women.

JUDGE REBEKAH COLEMAN (JRC) PGMAG: Judge Rebekah, so good to have you on today’s interview with Lady Anita JRC: Thank you for the invitation! PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself. JRC: My name is Rebekah Coleman, I was born and raised in the City of Detroit and practiced law for 10 years prior to running for Judge. My main areas of focus were criminal, probate and bankruptcy law. Both of my parents worked in the legal field so my desire to go to law school came from them. My parents were also heavily involved in community service and I gained a love for helping people through many of the projects I was involved in as a young child. PGMAG: What were some of the key experiences you gained on your journey to becoming a Judge? JRC: From practicing law I have learned that there needs to be multiple options available for people. Many times in criminal cases, people will be told what not to do but they are not really given the tools needed so that they can learn what to do, so that’s why I am so passionate about alternative sentencing programs. PGMAG: Your job is quite a tough one, because so many destinies are determined by your decision as a Judge. How do you manage to keep things running smoothly in the courtroom?
JRC: I make sure that I listen to all of the facts presented. Details are vitally important as well as the way the details are presented to the Court. After listening to everything presented, I apply the law, common sense and wisdom to make my decisions. And if I need to review things a little further, I make sure that I do that. Nothing has to be rushed and there is nothing wrong with setting matters out a couple of days in order to review the different issues so that a good and sound decision can be made. PGMAG: What is your no.1 philosophy as a leader?

Also, when deciding on what career you want to pursue, keep an open mind and try different things because you may be surprised at some of the different areas you may have an interest in. CHOOSING SMILE OVER BREATHE! A few years back, it was becoming difficult to breathe on my own. I could no longer walk or stay away from oxygen support by now. I was not ready to accept that this will be the reality for the rest of my life. I was hoping to find some solution so I visited another doctor. But this doctor told me that this is how it will be now. I will have to be on oxygen support all the time. I was so furious at that time that I stormed out of his office. My daughter feared me getting violent that day. But I had no choice. I want to move on my own, dance, sing, take responsibilities, and enjoy life like I used to. But I cannot... Internally it feels horrible, even inferior sometimes. But I do such a great job at hiding it that no one gets a hint. Instead, I face scepticisms from people like “She is acting, in reality, she is not that sick. She is showing off my money carrying these expensive oxygen machines and all.” As if oxygen is a luxury. I fail to understand why would I choose such a messy, tedious and challenging disease? Simply to gain sympathy? I’m bringing this point up because it’s a common problem I face every day. And apparently, a lot of people face it on daily basis. I'm very active on social media for some time now. Even when I post every day on social media people think I'm doing this for publicity. Sometimes I get random video calls. People want to check if I am wearing this oxygen pipe only for the camera or I really use it 24 hours.

I don’t mind it actually. Every person looks at the world with their own set of lenses. So, it’s no one’s fault. I like to call these conditions “invisible diseases”. Challenges like colour blindness, lung diseases, thyroid, hormonal problems, etc. are part of it. One of the most challenging aspects of having such invisible diseases is that they are usually neglected or rarely understood by others. These are experiential situations. That’s why at max people can sympathise with us but not empathise... This applies to everyone around us. Our friends, family, relatives, colleagues, employers, neighbours, hospital staff and also doctors or even the readers like you. It becomes beyond the comprehension of an unaffected person that there are things that are physically impossible for us to do now.
And mentally every time the reality strikes us when we have to ask for assistance in trivial things. I can't begin to explain in words how much selfrespect does we sacrifice. It’s like double victimisation. “I wish I could show you my lungs but I’d rather show you my shinning smile” – Madhu Vyas No one wants to be sick and in pain. Everybody wants to live with dignity and selfsufficiency. All we need is some compassion, which can only be inculcated if people around us
are educated about lung health, it’s effects, the challenges and trauma. But it is a grand effort to achieve this. I am doing my part in it by The Breathing Warrior Movement which is dedicated to: 1. Enable 10 million people to redesign their Life with longterm Breathing Problems to improve their quality of life by adapting to resilient and resourceful approach towards life. 2. Build a community where everyone can share their life experiences – to know that
they are not alone and also to help others as well as receive helping hands. 3. Educate everyone who crosses my path about importance and challenges related to most important aspect of life, i.e., Breathing. Also, I am launching my book regarding this very soon. I believe “No physical capacity can limit the power of human spirit”. I encourage you to come together and do you bit by contributing your emotions and time in this great cause and become a proudly compassionate “Breathing Warrior”. POWERFUL GLOBAL WOMEN FOUNDATION CHILDREN RETREAT EVENT (12TH SEPTEMBER 2020) We had various workshops for them during the gathering. We also gave facemasks each child that was in attendance. POWERFUL GLOBAL WOMEN FOUNDATION COVID-19 PROJECTS As part of PGWF mission to support more families during this challenged time, we have been able to hold two projects (one in April and the other on 13th July 2020). We distributed food supplies to several families and orphanage homes. Our team lead by Mrs Josephine Itsuokor (Vice-president of PGWF) made these projects a success. We will continue to reach out to more families through the support of our global partners.

Powerful Global Women Foundation (Powerhouse Charity) was founded in 20l6 in Nigeria, West Africa, by Lady Anita Duckworth-Bradshaw. The core objective of this organization is to transform the lives of women and children, through various projects centred around the need of the service group. In 20l6 Lady Anita single handedly fed over 400 children as part of “project feed l000 children globally”, and held an empowerment conference for the women. Through this project, so many women have gone to do great things with the knowledge they gained from the event. She recently held a life transforming event for women in Lagos, Nigeria as part of International women’s month celebration 20l8. The turnout was very encouraging. She is working towards supporting more families to keep their children and wards in school through” project back-to-school” starting in September 20l8.
