A DMI SSIO N BIDEC is open to Official Delegations, Exhibitors’ Guests, VIPs, Ministry of Defence visitors (Bahrain and overseas), Media and Trade visitors. Anyone wishing to attend the exhibition (including those who have been invited by an exhibitor) must be security-approved before entering. All persons attending the exhibition should carry a personal photographic identity document. Visitors may be asked to show their identity at any time, and organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or to request any person to leave the venue without stating a reason. The organisers accept no liability for accidents occurring through the negligence of their staff, contractors or exhibitors. No person under the age of 18 years will be admitted during the exhibition period.

There is a medical room at the exhibition centre at the back of Hall 1 with an ambulance on 24-hour standby. There will also be medical facilities at the off-site activity locations. If you have any issues, please visit the Organisers Office next to Registration at the front of Hall 1.

There are two Media Centres at the Exhibition Centre. One in Hall 1 and one in Al Fanar Hall opposite Palm Hall where the MEMAC Conference is taking place. Press Conferences will also take place from Al Fanar.

Three editions of the Show Daily will be produced on each day of the show. Visit the Media Centre in Hall 1 and ask for the Show Daily team to have your story included.

Bahrain TV will be filming throughout the exhibition and conference across three days. Visit the Bahrain TV stand in Hall 1.

On Monday 16th October the conference will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay in the evening, featuring opening keynote sessions, with registration from 17:30. On Tuesday 17th October the conference will take place at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Palm Hall, with registration starting from 08:00. See the separate MEMAC Conference Guide for more information on the programme.

BIDEC OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES In addition to the exhibition and conference, there are several off-site activities taking place around Bahrain during BIDEC. Shuttle buses will operate between the Exhibition Centre and all of the Off-Site Activities and timings for all of these activities can be found in the separate Off-Site Activities Booklet.

PARACHUTE DEMONSTRATIONS

Held in partnership with the Bahrain Defence Force and under the guidance of expert instructors, this feature will give military personnel with the appropriate military free-fall license opportunity to trial the latest parachute systems from Airborne Systems. This will be a two day event that will take place at Endurance Village in Bahrain. Shuttle buses will be provided for visitors who would like to view the displays from the exhibition centre.

SHOOTING DEMONSTRATIONS

Delegates, visitors and military personnel will have the chance to test new firearms and ammunition on a purpose-built indoor and outdoor shooting range on Bahrain National Guard grounds, alongside the Vehicle Demonstrations. There will be 6 outdoor shooting lanes (up to 100m) and 6 indoor shooting lanes (up to 25m) available, with a VIP Viewing area available for delegations too.

All visitors must report to the exhibition centre and collect their exhibition badge in order to gain access to Endurance Village.

Visitors will be able to access the grounds by shuttle buses provided from the exhibition centre on Days 2 and 3 of the exhibition. All visitors must report to the exhibition centre and collect their exhibition badge in order to gain access to the National Guard grounds in Sakhir.
