We are getting excited for our 4th Annual College Tour. This years tour is sponsored by Taco Bell’s Foundation for Teens. To better accommodate the Universities our tour will take place March 24th and 25th, the Tuesday and Wednesday of Spring Break. We will be visiting three different college campuses and staying the night at the Boulder YMCA, where we will camp out in their gym. Because this is such an impactful event and completely free for you and your student we do have limited space available.
To be eligible you must be a Welte high school student and have a good behavior track record. Prior to the tour we will have 3 mandatory College Readiness Workshops at the Teen Center to better prepare your student for college and the college tour. These will be in the evening and dinner will be provided. If you are interested in having your student be a part of this years tour please contact Teressa Johnson at 719.382.1562 as soon as possible. Remember space is limited.

Jingle Bell Success We would like to everyone who helped us with the 6th Annual Jingle Bell 5k! We are so grateful for our volunteers who helped prior to the event and day of; because of you we were able to host our biggest event to date!
This year we had our first ever children’s 1k event which was probably the cutest thing that has ever ran the streets of Fountain. Our new 5k trail had 485 participants run which was a huge increase from last years event! This will have such a huge and positive impact on the Teen Center and next years run!

little geeky and awkward, but he is hilarious all the same. When a journey takes him to a new place after a break up with the last Katherine, he is ready to start fresh. It’s a new, refreshing, hilarious story; be sure to pick it up and read it as soon as you can!
A Night at the Zoo By Taneja Dodson 12th grade The stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was a great experience. We did a lot of fun things which included getting a private tour of the zoo after hours, yes it was dark. I personally got to talk to and meet new people. I also learned many new things about the animals in the zoo. Staying the night was great, it gave everyone who went a time to get to know each other better. It was a great adventure.
I must say it was a great use of my time and it was also a great educational experience. I would 100% recommend that you check out Wild Nights at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, it is so fun!
