WELCOME Happy New Year and welcome!

Ladbrokes World Grand Prix in February. Darts fans will be excited to see The Grand Masters of Darts 2017, whilst boxing makes a welcome return with 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Scott Fitzgerald.

I’m extremely excited to present our new season of shows and events to keep you entertained into 2017. As we look ahead to the coming months you’ll see we have everything from dance with Brendan Cole’s All Night Long, drama in the form of our brand new Matinee Selection from Don’t Go Into The Cellar!, as well as a great selection of music including The James Taylor Quartet and White Lies.

As always the developments within and surrounding the venue continue and over Christmas our brand new venue LiVe opened its doors to overwhelming support. We’ve also been working hard on the Terrace at the front of the building, which now serves as an outdoor eating area for The Villa Italian as well as an extension to LiVe and ReView.

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra continue their 2016/17 Preston series with two more concerts in April and May and we introduce five more wonderful ‘Evening with’ events as part of our spoken word programme, including Lord Robert Winston and David Starkey.

Each of our restaurants now offer a fantastic Afternoon Tea menu, with each restaurant offering it’s own unique taste and style, perfect for a bite to eat overlooking the City. Perhaps our biggest project yet is LeVel, a modern boutique bowling alley and sports bar with leisure facilities for the whole family. Keep an eye out for more announcements on this throughout the year.

David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny and The First Hippo on the Moon take to the Charter Theatre stage for the first time as well as the welcome return of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s sparkling family musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, with X Factor’s Joe McElderry in the coveted coat.

To stay up to date with the latest news, events and developments, sign up to our e-newsletter online at www.prestonguildhall.com or ask a member of our Box Office team.

It’s a great year for sporting events too as we bring you the World Snooker China Open Qualifiers and the highly anticipated

We look forward to welcoming you in 2017. Richard and the team
