SEPT 18 JAN 19
WELCOME This summer, the country has enjoyed the most glorious sunshine we’ve seen in many years and it seems a little strange to (now) be talking about Panto, but here we are! Plans are in full swing for our festive production of Cinderella and the cast are looking forward to joining us in Preston. As we move into our Autumn/Winter season, I am delighted to announce our most varied and exciting season yet. September sees the latest national tour of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers heading to our Charter Theatre. Often described as the ‘standing ovation’ musical, we are thrilled to be named as a tour venue for this Bill Kenwright production. Later in September, we play host to Taj Express. Rhythmically blending explosive dance with the hits of India’s most iconic composers, Taj Express is brought to life by the stars of Bollywood cinema and its greatest musicians live on stage. Then in November we’ll be having the time of our lives with the UK Tour of Dirty Dancing! Don’t miss out on seeing this classic story live on stage. We are especially looking forward to welcoming Sir Michael Parkinson, who joins us for an evening of conversation. This will be a unique opportunity to get an insight into his remarkable journey. This is just one of the ‘evenings with’ events programmed, take a look at pages 16 and 17 to see what others we have to offer.

With plenty family shows, comedy and sport, plus events produced and performed by the local community in the mix too, I hope you enjoy our programme for the rest of 2018. Developments with our Complex continue to advance too. You may have noticed our Italian restaurant, The Villa Italian, has become Vittorias. Still offering the same authentic Italian dining experience, join us there soon to sample the latest menu and offers. Level, our entertainment complex, is approaching its first birthday this December. Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it
