WELCOME Happy New Year to all our customers and supporters! 2017 was another exciting year of developments for us, most notably the opening of Level; our brand new leisure complex. Level is home to crazy golf, bowling, pool tables, an assault course, interactive darts, laser tag, good food and much more. Placed alongside all our events across the Grand Hall, Charter Theatre and LiVe Venue, this is a significant addition to our entertainment offering. We’ve also recently welcomed Bonds Ice Cream to the Guild Hall family. Sitting alongside The Villa Italian and ReView bar, the traditional ice cream brand now has a parlour in the lower arcade offering a sit-in and take away treat for all our customers to enjoy. If you’re one of the first to receive our brochure, don’t forget our fabulous festive pantomime Aladdin is running until 3rd January, there may still be a few tickets available! We kick off 2018 by welcoming back World Snooker with the prestigious World Grand Prix tournament and we are delighted that our long standing relationship with the snooker is continuing. Plus, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be
completing their Preston 17/18 season over the coming months too, and keep an eye out for their next Season which will be announced later in the year. Our music venue, LiVe, which opened in late 2016 is now established as a great space for intimate gigs. Having recently played host to Martha Reeves, Martin Barre and The Lancashire Hotpots, the venue is set to see many more acts soon including Magnum and Cara Dillon. With shows across the Grand Hall and Charter Theatre ranging from comedy legends such as Bill Bailey; talented musicians including Paul Carrack; theatre productions penned by John Godber; stars of TV’s Strictly Come Dancing in spectacular dance shows, and a host of sporting events, there’s too much for me to mention here! I hope you enjoy reading our latest What’s On Guide and I look forward to welcoming you soon. We are constantly updating our programme of shows and events, keep up to date by visiting prestonguildhall.co.uk, or sign up to our e-newsletter to be the first to hear what’s new! All the best for 2018, Richard and the team
