We have been working hard over recent years to improve the accessibility of the festival site. This year the new site has ACCESSIBILITY caused us some additional challenges and as such we have had to scale back certain elements including the provision of blue badge parking and the access buggie. However we have introduced a new disabled viewing platform and an improved access tent. If you have additional access requirements you can visit the access tent at any point during the event. Ticket/Wristband Exchange If you have purchased tickets in advance you will need to exchange these for a wristband for access to the festival site.

This can be done during Pride Weekend from the on site exchange point (note this closes at 8pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday) or on the week leading up to Pride Wristband Exchange Locations For an up to date list of locations to exchange your wristband in advance of the festival please visit http://festival.pride.scot/wristband-exchange Buying a wristband on the day Wristbands will be on sale throughout the festival weekend from the on site box office. This will be open from 10am - 8pm on Saturday 14th July and from 12pm - 6pm on Sunday. A variety of interactive activities will be provided in several fun filled zones throughout the family and Youth area. Active Zone will help burn energy and develop skills through activities such as archery, limbo, bowling, football skills and team games for all ages.

Our Arts and Crafts zone will inspire creativity with activities such as painting, drawing, jewellery making and designing sun catchers.

Participants can experience retro games with a variety of fun challenges including hook a duck, ring toss and knocking over bottles.

Learn how to skate at our Skate Zone where coaches will be on hand to teach children of all ages the basis skills they need to master this sport.

Blair Drummond Safari will be on hand again with an interactive workshop discovering safari animals. Glasgow Science centre will also provide an session exploring the human body.

Relax and let your little one’s imagination take them to far away lands at our storytelling corner where classic children’s stories will be read as well as an opportunity to be involved with sounds and actions.

Face painting and a bouncy castle will also be provided as well as the opportunity to win prizes with a variety of competitions and a fun Disney quiz.


Our colourful rainbow dash experience is back and bigger than ever this year!

RAINBOW DASH & DOG SHOW

Festival goers will be able to run, strut or dance through our run while getting covered in a n array of colourful powders. There will also be the option to strike a pose on our rainbow dash podium surrounded by a cloud of colour while our official

photographers capture your Instagram worthy pic. As if that’s not great enough there is also colour blasts that will take place on the hour, every hour, which will be a frenzy of colour for a group of people to enjoy.

Our community expo acts as an information hub for organisations, community groups and companies that are providing activities, information and services to the LGBTI community. This year we have over 70 stalls registered including Highland LGBT Forum, TIE Campaign, City of Glasgow College, Pink Saltire and many more Make sure you visit on both days as all be it the majority of stalls are the same over the weekend there is some different ones each day.

Pride Market The Pride Market is the home of our trading stalls including Pride favourites Shrinking Violet Designs to Candles and everything else you can imagine. The pride market also plays home to the Pride Merchandise stall where you can pick up a range of Pride branded items.


Food Village With a revamped food village this year we will have a range of brand new food outlets for you to try alongside some existing units you will have seen in previous years.

There will also be additional seating placed around the food village . The food offerings include Gourmet Burgers Fish & Chip Shop Loaded Hot Dogs Swing Grill BBQ Stone Baked Pizza Dedicated Vegan and Vegetarian Unit Ice Cream & Coffee

Bars This year our main bar is back and is bigger than ever alongside this you will find a dedicated Fentimans speciality gin bar alongside our VIP Bar. We have partnered up with Skinny Lager this year pick up a bottle of their gluten free, low calorie, vegan friendly beer at any of the festival bars.

By Subway One of the fastest ways to Kelvingrove Park is to take the subway to Kelvinbridge, the park is less than a 5 minute walk away. Check out www.spt.co.uk for times and stations. The Subway will remain open till 11pm on Sunday 15th July By Train Exhibition Centre Train Station is approximately a 15 walk from the park.

Where can I see the Stage Times? Timings for all artists are on our website. How do I pick up my wristband / exchange my ticket / buy one. Check out the Wristband and ticket information on page 11 Is Pride family friendly/open to non LGBTI people? We welcome everyone to Pride you don’t need to be LGBTI+ people to attend the event, we welcome everyone including families there is a dedicated Family Area full of activities. We also have family orientated groups in the community expo and a dedicated youth area for older young people. Are Dogs Allowed? Be it a German shepherd, dachshund, bulldog however your dog identifies they are welcome to join in the fun of Pride! Just keep them on a lead, clean up after them and ensure they have food and water. Remember the festival does get busy so please consider your dog’s welfare before bringing them.

Is the site accessible? check the accessibility page on our website to find out more on the accessibility of the festival. Where and when is the Pride afterparty? When the main event finishes at 6pm on Sunday an official afterpary will take place on the festival site including a full concert performance from pop legends Steps. Tickets are available from our website. Where does the money go? We work hard year round to generate the necessary income to put on the festival, its costs around £150,000 a year to make the festival happen including on costs you might not realise like venue hire, policing, licence fees and the income from this comes from sponsorship, stalls, advertising and ticket sales. All money raised is put back into the charity that runs pride and helps fund the following year’s festival alongside our Pride Life Volunteer Programme and Pride Community projects.
