What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my CIC designation. It was a turning point in my career as I realized I love commercial lines and the challenge that comes with it. I am also proud of pushing myself the last few years to step outside my comfort zone. I created a business plan and vision board, made multiple changes in the office to keep up with industry standards, and began more networking.

What words of wisdom would you offer young women just beginning their insurance careers?

Always take time to educate yourself and learn what you sell. When you become confident in your knowledge, it is evident. You must be comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and learning from them. Always talk in a professional, yet down-to-earth manner. My final suggestion would be to know your limits and maintain your work/life balance. Loved ones come first because they will be the lynchpin that helps your business succeed.
