What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?

Early in my career before transitioning to insurance, I acquired my CPA license/designation, which was a large accomplishment. Most recently at Brown & Brown, I was asked to take on several projects, including to co-lead our internal Women’s Teammate Resource Group, The Power of She. Our group’s mission is to create an inspirational and safe space to foster and deepen relationships, and to find and offer mentorship, leadership, and development.

What words of wisdom would you offer young women just beginning their insurance careers?

Entering the insurance industry is the first of many great decisions you will make! Insurance is a long-standing, stable industry with a multitude of career paths. Explore different roles to find your true passion; learn and grow your insurance knowledge early. Volunteer for projects that will push you out of your comfort zone. Get involved in the industry, build your network, and advocate for yourself. It will all pay off in the long run!
