But the area's buzzing luxury property market offers all of the above, and then some. "Long Beach tends to get stigmatized a bit, but it's a unique little spot with a wonderful lifestyle offering. Especially the waterfront properties are among the most beautiful on the coast," said local real estate specialist Spencer Snyder, who knows the area like few others. Raised on exclusive Naples Island since the age of 5, Snyder is familiar with the ins and outs of the market and holds his team to high standards. "Our working knowledge of the area enables us to offer our clients a unique advantage. I'm really selective about choosing my agents, and every single one is a great fit and brings a real local element to the table. And finally, what is the #1 reason for moving to the Long Beach waterfront area? It's a really nice mix, you can live on the water and be part of the yacht club and also head over to the beach or the nearest shopping or restaurants within five minutes. There’s a lot of variety and plenty of neighborhood nooks to be discovered. Belmont Shore is a unique little stretch, for instance. You're getting luxury waterfront properties with accessibility to aquatic activities and great weather year-round at a very affordable rate. And we're smack in the middle between LA and Orange County, so we see a lot of couples where spouses work in both places looking for a place here.
