Instrument drawing 2019 In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh This drawing is of a recorder, and I enjoyed the project very much. I started by getting the measurements off the instrument itself. I wrote the numbers down and sketched rough drafts. I then researched the inner mechanics of the recorder. I used this to determine the section of the recorder, and at the end drew it all onto one paper. My drawing is complete with exact measurements. Detail of Recorder, 2019, Graphite on Vellum

All-Star Soundscape 2019 In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh To prepare for my listening booth design, I chose a song that I enjoy and chose a line from the song, which I then made a diagram from. Afterwards, I made a model to display where I would like people to listen to the music. My song was Smash Mouth’s All Star. Detail of All-Star Soundscape Model, 2019, Chipboard and Balsa Wood

Listening booth 2019 In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh With the listening booth, my main goal was to bring people to a place where they can enjoy music and they can feel music. My sketches show a place in which people can do that.

Cities and Eyes 2019 In-Class, Group Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh My group and I chose a story from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, and we each created a collage using the random materials we were given. My group worked together to give each other ideas and work on our collages. I gave many ideas and critiques to my fellow peers. Cities and Eyes, 2019, Paper
