Ukulele 2019 In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Hainsley Peralta I started the project by getting all the measurements of the instrument and double checking them so the drawing would come out proportional. I had to look into how the instrument worked so we could know what parts are solid or hollow. This project led us to further understanding the instrument and how the shape, strings and etc. come together to make music. Section Detail of Ukulele

Soundscape

Soundscape Collage

2019 In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Hainsley Peralta The first part of the project was to choose any song of your liking, pick a part and make a collage. We translated the collage into a model by taking parts of our collage that we want to have on the model. Lastly, we would have to choose how to execute it by choosing the materials and height of each section.

Sound booth 2019 In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh My sound booth took inspiration from the 3rd layer in the soundscape. Originally, I had a long narrow ship but since it didn’t fit the measurements I had to kind of “tape” the ends together into a round shape and go on from that. I then designed the ship to be like Frieza’s ship and use the wall for sound and to block out the sound outside.

Octavia 2019 In-Class, Group Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh Creating this art piece, was a roller coaster of thinking, cutting, gluing and etc. I wanted to make my work unique by making my work 3d so you would have to see it from a aerial view. My work is also supposed to be ironic by making the abyss golden(instead of a life less dark pit), the spiderwebs(dark) and etc. I wanted to “jazz” up my art by making the webs out of a lot of fun shapes instead of a normal web.

7.0 Year In Class, Individual Project I made this helmet to represent some of the things going in my life while I came to America. I painted the skull, the Haitian flag and the Globe because there was a 7.0 magnitude going on in Haiti when I migrated from the Dominican Republic. The earthquake killed a lot of people, hence the skull, this ended up bringing down the country so I glued in ropes. The number 7 also represents Carmelo Anthony, my favorite basketball player, who ended up playing for my favorite basketball team that same year.

Concrete Puzzle Year In-Class, Group Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh In this project, we started by designing the blocks for shape to be fun and when formed to make a cube shape. I worked on the measurements with Kelvin to make sure that the shapes would match. Next, since we finished the measurements early, I helped in cutting the pieces and gluing them. Lastly, we poured in the cement and played the waiting game.

Jukebox Year In-Class, Individual Project Course - Princeton ArcPrep Faculty - Katie Zaeh In this project, I took a inspiration from a jukebox by making the stage look like the top of a jukebox. In the stage, I made a automated system of wires and pulleys to move the artist around for a spectacular entrance. I then moved into the landscape and I decided to make a bathroom, stores, trash cans and a area for the audience. Plan and Section
