President’s Letter It is now the heart of the summer here at TCC, and I hope all of you have been out to enjoy your Club, either at the pool, tennis courts, golf course, or by having one of the best dining experiences in Talbot County. Once again, July will be a busy month at TCC. On the golf front, we have Junior Fun Fridays, our annual Flag Tournament on July 4th, the Generations Cup on July 9th, the 18-TWGA President’s Cup on the 14th, a Breakfast Par 3 tournament on July 16th, Guys & Gals on the 24th, all followed by Nine & Dine on the 29th. Make sure you sign up early, as these events will fill up quickly. The Tennis and Swimming Pool Committee has a great month planned, starting off with TCC’s Annual 4th of July party, a must for all members, Fun Friday Tennis Mixers on the 8th & 22nd and the No Traffic Beach Party at the pool on the 23rd. Our summer camps are also in full swing, so please slow down and keep an eye out for all our little members enjoying TCC this summer. I want to thank Chris, Marc, Guy, Matt and Chef Mike for the great job they and all their staffs did for the Men’s Member/Guest in June. This was a wonderful event and if you have never played in a Men’s Member/ Guest tournament, I strongly suggest you considerate it for 2012. The golf course is holding up well during the two short heat waves we have encountered so far this year. The drainage work completed on the course in the winter months seems to have worked as planned. The 15th fairway is coming along as planned, as well. Just a quick note on the Club’s finances, we still remain ahead of budget for this fiscal year. The Board and Executive Committee are in the final phase of approving the club’s budget for 2011-12. Once the budget is completed, Club Treasurer, Jerry Wilcoxon, will update the membership. Please remember the club is open for dinner service on Sunday evenings. As always, please keep looking for new members. The Club’s Membership Committee has done a spectacular job maintaining and growing TCC’s membership, but they cannot do it alone. I now want to thank you, the TCC members. Without your continued support, TCC would not be what it is today. If you have any comments on how we can improve your TCC experience, or questions about the Club, Chris Wyles or any of your Board of Governors are always willing to help. Butch Townsend President
