Ladies and Gentlemen; Thank you for participating in the Patio Expansion Project fundraiser. The response and level of participation clearly indicates the loyalty and camaraderie within Shady Canyon Golf Club. There is no doubt the project will take shape and be built in the next several months. You will all be invited to the grand opening party celebrating its completion and accomplishment on behalf of the Membership. This booklet contains the many items available for silent and live auction. Again, I would like to thank those of you who have made monetary contributions, those who have contributed to the auctions and to those who will purchase items. Remote bidding through email is now open and can be done by emailing Zack Bates at zbates@shadycanyongolfclub.com. Zack will coordinate the execution of your remote bids as best he can. I do recommend pairing up with an attendee via cell phone for the live auction items if you feel an email bid is not as secure a bid as you would like. All members are welcome to attend the reception and participate in the auction which should begin around 3:30 pm, depending on the pace of play of the tournament. The live auction will open at 2:00 pm for your review. A special thanks to all the committee members who brought this project to the table and who have made this event a great success. Steve Buck

Magnum 2001 Blankiet Merlot Parker Review: The dark plum/purple-colored 2001 Merlot Paradise Hills Vineyard exhibits sweet aromas of cherry liqueur interwoven with mocha fudge. Firm, hard tannin in the finish closes the wine down on the palate. This is a structured, seriously-endowed Merlot meant for long term aging. The aromatics are a knock-out, but the flavors have yet to completely unfold, and while loaded as well as impressively endowed, the wine is tannic and backward. (91 pts.)
