Inception can integrate with Milestone XProtect video management system, allowing the Inception controller to become the security and access mechanism supporting the Milestone system. Multiple Inception systems can be integrated with a single Milestone system for multi-site monitoring. The integration means live access and alarm events can be sent to Milestone, allowing a wide range of actions to be triggered within the Milestone system, such as operators being able to compare video footage to a user’s photo to grant access.

Convenient and accurate controls on occupancy Inception can help site managers control occupancy by counting users in and out of the whole building, individual rooms and offices, car parks and lifts. Once set levels have been reached, further users’ permissions are suspended until the occupancy count has a spare space. All information about occupancy can be sent to the site health and safety manager for real-time monitoring and alerts. A report can run at any time to confirm the occupancy status of any designated area. Inception can also produce trace reports to find specific people, for example, to help locate the nearest first aider or security person.
Automated actions Operators can set other automated actions in response to specific user numbers, such as changing heating and air conditioning depending, displaying messages about parking availability for drivers as they enter car parks, or automatic alarm-setting as people leave the site.
