Asset protection in order to pay someone else’s medical bills, or if he would prefer to invest in personal liability insurance. Don’t forget to look at the policy limits before deciding on a liability insurance plan: if your liability exceeds the policy limit, you will be on the hook for the shortfall. Umbrella insurance provides extra liability coverage and can be purchased for homeowner’s, auto, and business policies, etc. In fact, liability insurance is so important when it comes to automobiles that every car is required to be covered by some amount of liability insurance due to the high risk of vehicles causing harm to others. However, it’s up to you whether you want to pay extra premiums for“collision” insurance, which covers repairs for damage you cause to your own car in a collision, or whether you want to risk paying any necessary repair or replacement costs out of your pocket.

HOW DO PERSONAL PROPERTY AND LIABILITY INSURANCE WORK?

Y

ou can take every precaution to protect your property using alarms, locks, etc., but some losses are simply unavoidable. Fires and natural disasters strike without warning, and even the best locks and alarms won’t always protect you from a professional thief. There are also situations in which you may be personally liable to another person for injury caused by you or your property. The three most common types of insurance used to protect against personal property and liability risks are homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, automobile insurance, and personal umbrella insurance. Homeowner’s insurance will cover most types of damage to your home and most

types of personal property (excluding cars), as well as liabilities for occurrences such as someone tripping on your steps and incurring medical bills. Numerous

exclusions

apply;

damage

must be covered by a separate policy, and high-value items such as jewelry and paintings will require an appraisal and a “rider” (an addendum to the policy). Homeowner’s insurance is required if you have a mortgage. Renter’s insurance will similarly cover your personal property and liabilities. Even if you think your personal property is not worth insuring, liability insurance is an important and often overlooked type of coverage. When it comes to homes it is up to the homeowner to decide whether he wants to risk losing everything he owns

As to injury you may cause to yourself in a collision, state laws require even the cheapest automobile liability policies to provide some coverage, but not nearly enough to pay the medical bills for catastrophic injury.

Before buying property Insurance

make sure you read and understand your policy. Make sure you are aware of the following at a minimum: much? coverage? or excluded?

AMANA BANK CELEB THREE YEARS OF BU

Amana Bank, The first and only fully Islamic bank in Tanzania operating by following the Islamic Sharia is celebrating three years of business this November. Amana Bank opened its doors to customers on the 24th of November 2011 with one branch at the business hub of the city Kariakoo, Tandamti Street. To date, Amana Bank boasts six branches, four in Dar es Salaam and two upcountry in Arusha and Mwanza and a total deposit of 96 billion.

Speaking at a news conference marking the 3 year anniversary at the Tandamti Branch, the Managing Director of Amana Bank Dr. Idris Rashidi said, “it has been a long and challenging journey since the bank opened its doors in 2011. Amana Bank came as a bank that not only offered fully Islamic banking services to Tanzanians, but has continued to keep the flag of Sharia Banking flying high. As champions of ethics, equality and transparency in everything we do,

our institution continues to build on diversity and growth to the economy of our country. The bank closed its third quarter with total customer deposit of TZS 96bil from TZS 81bil in the second quarter. This is an increase of 19% which is a tremendous achievement. Our financing portfolio including assets reached TZS 64.5bil from around TZS 57bil in June 2014; this is an increase of 13% which is also commendable for a bank of our size.

BRATES USINESS

Rahisisha biashara na shughuli zako wakati wote

In line with our ongoing efforts to serve the rapidly increasing customer base, the bank has put in place a plan to open 7 more branches in the near future. “We are very pleased with the overall performance of our bank; these achievements are in line with our projections. We continue to aim high in providing exceptional service to our customers and the community in general. “Our continued success could not have been achieved without the confidence and support shown by our valued customers. Given the number of banks and level of competition, we understand the importance of our customers and therefore, we aim at exceeding our customer’s expectations at all times. Our highly trained and dedicated staff are there to make sure our customers receive exceptional customer service experience whenever they interact with an Amana Bank staff.” Dr Idris Rashidi, the bank’s Managing Director, commented. Amana Bank is the first and only fully Islamic bank in the country operating under the Islamic (Sharia Law).

The attributes for urban ecotourism includes the following : (i) Environmental responsibility - protecting, conserving, and/ or enhancing nature and the physical environment to ensure the long-term health of the life-sustaining ecosystem.

(ii). Local economic vitality Supporting local economies. Businesses and communities to ensure economic vitality and sustainability. To date there has been little marketing and education directed at urban tourists about supporting sustainable environment. Many of the millions of tourists, who visit Dar es salaam, use the city as a gateway to other destinations, including Zanzibar and Arusha, successful marketing the concept of sustainability to visitors will hopefully on other destinations visited. Therefore recommendations when marketing ecotourism products should consider the following: Broad distribution: Your product must be accessible to your market through as many key locations as possible.
