How long have you worked for ProSource Wholesale?
I’ve been here for four years.
What’s your favorite part of being a team member at ProSource Wholesale?
We’re like a family here… there’s such a spirit of camaraderie with the staff and our members. We know what each other is thinking and often finish each other’s sentences. It all comes from the personal attention we give to our trade pro members and their clients.
How do you interact with the account manager as a cohesive team for the trade pro and the client?
I have a lot of communication early on with the account manager, including an introduction to the client where I can ask questions to uncover their real needs. That’s followed by multiple meetings with the client to review the design and product selections and make sure that every “i” is dotted and every “t” is crossed to ensure a happy client and member.
What trends do you see developing with regard to home remodeling, especially with kitchens and bathrooms?
Open concept kitchens are the big trend with easy-to-clean surfaces and lots of storage. Kitchen islands are also huge, serving as cooking, gathering, and entertainment spaces. Plus, we’re seeing an increased preference for wood finishes.
What trends are you seeing with regard to products?
Drawers and pullout trays/shelves in base cabinets are a great trend. They make it so much easier to access food, cookware, and utensils without having to bend or stoop down to find things way in the back where it’s dark and hard to reach. They’re wonderful to have at any age, but essential for aging-in-place.
What are a couple of your favorite cabinet products?
I love Omega cabinets because they’re a beautiful, quality product and they make it so easy to customize options, which allows you to do just about anything you want to do with a kitchen design. Plus, they offer so many color choices. How would you describe the difference between the service you offer at ProSource Wholesale versus retail or the big box stores?
It’s the personal attention we provide in the way we treat every member and client the same regardless of the size of the project and strive to keep everybody happy. What’s one piece of advice you would advocate to homeowners before they begin a project?
Look at the full scope of the project and try to make all the key decisions early on, including setting a realistic budget, before getting started.
