After meeting at work and falling in love Sheri and Jenny wanted to make it official and decided their wedding day was to be celebrated with family and friends rather than have an intimate occasion. The venue was chosen and the celebrant – a friend – suggested the support crew. After the first wedding date was cancelled due to Covid-19 the couple decided to wait 6 months to reschedule – assuming the pandemic would have died down by then. It hadn’t but they could still have the 84 guests they wanted plus 5 grandchildren. The couple’s style inspiration came from wanting to wear formal dresses and matching shoes. With both having very different tastes it was matching shoes that tied the outfits together. Jenny, a triathlete, chose to wear a close-fitting dress in off-white while Sheri opted for a more flowing dress in cream. One of the most memorable moments – amongst many – from the day was the announcement they were finally married with an important factor being that family and guests had a great night and celebrated with the couple. Their advice for newly-engaged couples is to plan the celebration you really want. Don’t be caught up on other people’s ideas – believe in yourselves and how you wish to commemorate such a special day.
