make people understand that physical activity is essential for a new longevity, with increase of expectations in life, because our body which lasted 45 or 50 years before, it is the same that nowadays can last 80 years or even more. Medicine has helped to achieve this life extension, but today, each person must manage and take care of his/her body, as it will last much longer and we cannot change so. Therefore, our first body’s friend is physical activity, and it must be adapted to the agenda expecting to achieve 3 to 5 days per week of activity. In addition, a person must be patient and be able to wait at least three weeks before feeling such vitality and energizing effect that provides joy and improves self-esteem.” To close the speech, Sangenis concluded with a smart definition: “A person cannot stop moving because he or she becomes older; a person becomes older because she/he stops moving.”

Bridgestone, in association with Cultura Sustentável, has published the first Commemorative Book entitled “Libertadores - La pasión que nos une” (The passion that unites us) including a complete history of the most important interclub football tournament in the Americas.

P

During the event, the champion goalkeeper of the Libertadores Cup, Marcos, participated in an interview program with journalists and guests, joining book’s author, Nicholas Vital. Commemorative Book is divided into four sections. The introduction shows championship’s history, description of the main football super stars, as well as Argentinian and Brazilian teams with relevant participation since first decades until today. The second part of the book includes highlights and curiosities in all editions of Bridgestone Libertadores. The third part provides detailed infographic with all of what a passionate football fan might like to learn from the competition. “It was a hard research. A main difficulty it was to find old historic pictures and obtain approval to be used. The good work performed by photo editor Alexandre Battibugli was essential. The infographic data also took much time to get, as there was no source of data between 1960 and

Through its 304 pages, the reader will find much more than history and classification data. The book includes several unpublished images, stunning evidence of players, trainers, officers, and journalists that reveal the unknown myths and curiosities behind the scenes of the Bridgestone Libertadores Cup. The book ‘Libertadores - la pasión que nos une,’ also includes Bridgestone philosophy and concepts based on performance, courage, and all teams’ determination, athletes, and trainers who participated in the championships and have walked the path of success, becoming champions. We are so proud of have collaborated with this outstanding project,” said Ariel Depascuali, President of Bridgestone Brazil.
