ARCHITECT 3D DESIGNER SELECTED WORKS
ARCHITECT 3D DESIGNER SELECTED WORKS
I am a designer in Los Angeles who likes visualization of imagination. Trained as an architect, I'm about to complete my Master of Architecture, with a focus on virtual world-building and interaction. During this time, have finished multiple immersive AR/VR experiences that can run on webVR and VR headsets.
What will the meeting room be like in the virtual reality?
How will Yayoi Kusama's art concept be displayed and reinforced in virtual reality?
What's the way of being old in a digital world?
With the coming of Web 3.0, a new way of life is waiting to be explored. The architect's knowledge is useful here, because it developes my understanding of people's expectations of space and be able to realize this within scale, proportion, color and material.
This is a immersive virtual world designed for Flowly, an app for people who suffer from anxiety and chronic pain. Users can experience a spectacular moutain view under a tree. With the voice guidance and breathing exercises, people could do the meditation and make a wish for the coming year.

This project is an online meeting room that tries to redefine conference tables, an essential element to organizing people's behavior in the gathering space. Tables indicate talking issues formally, the gradation of participants, and the level of participation.
What is the potential of tables in virtual reality?
The design tries a new way of switching spaces and responds to people's spatial hierarchy needs. Each user can find their appropriate position in the room.
LOBBY 25 : 1
Firstly participants will show up in the waiting room at a ratio of 25:1, and they will see a big table with an infinite universe. The floating planes on it are where the meetings will be held.
MEETING AREA 1 : 1
Then participants can get a visual overview of each floor, pick the floor they want to go to, and then shrink to a 1:1 scale into the table.
BREAKOUT ROOM① 1 : 25
The recesses on the table are breakout Rooms. Participants can further shrink to 1: 25 if they need a group talk.
BREAKOUT ROOM② 1 : 1
If participants want to have a private talk, they can go to the bubbles hung on the ceiling of this room and have a bigger view.
Three floors on the table provide different meeting atmospheres and reflect different meeting levels with three different organizations. Users can choose according to their needs. A river connects the three floors, serving as the landscape and the medium connecting the upper and lower floors. After entering the river, people can flow to the next level.
1st FLOOR Eccentric 2nd FLOOR CentripetalThis drawing shows the user’s three dimensions in this space. In the virtual world, it is possible to switch scenes in one room by changing the scale of the human body instead of switching rooms for different functions in reality.

This is a planet of rabbits based on the released mechanical rabbit NFT. In the war of Genesis, through the advanced technology sent back by future rabbits, the rabbits evolved themselves into "mechanical rabbits", developed the realm of the gods, and finally defeated the Nakdar. Players can become a member of the community by purchasing NFT rabbits, participating in events, trading, and socializing.
The sky garden is mainly used for holding large-scale activities, such as concerts, gala parties, various festivals to celebrate, and so on, for collective use. April 1 is Mechanical Rabbit planet celebration day every year.
The sky garden includes four sub-stages and the main stage. There are four themes on the sub-stages: desert, forest, sea, and cave. They can also gather on the main stage in the center.

RABIT COMMUITY
There are different sizes of rabbit communities scattered on the land. Each assembly consists of 4 sizes of housing, which are from small to ultra-large. Each NFT holder could own a small housing for free and purchase larger housing.

Emphasize the subtle perception of impressionism by showing Georges Seurat's painting in virtual reality. This 3D painting can produce changes of light, wind, and sound over time, bringing more layers of information to the audience.
Accurate perspective, shape, color, and lightning
Rich color, blur boundary, unclear perspective, moment of capture
Classical paintings aim to accurately depict the perspective and shapes, and impressionism focus more on showing an atmosphere with rich colors, lightnings and subtle boundaries. However, the 2-dimision painting is not able to show the environments changing overtime, which is also a vital part of subtlety. This project shows a constant experience of perception with flowing water, wind, falling leaves and ever-changing light.
The audience will pop out in a totally white scene. When they touch the objects in the scene, they will turn to impressionist style, which will become point cloud with rich color.

This project explores the possibility of showcasing Kusama's work in virtual reality. Kusama's signature dots are no longer static, existing patterns but can respond to human actions. It uses a bicycle wheel beyond the body scale and the plants on it as a medium to let the audience get a different virtual experience. Compared to traditional exhibitions, virtual reality offers more interactive experiences.
The super-scale wheels and cactuses covered in dots echo the abstract, surreal quality of the graphic itself. When dots cover objects in everyday life, the space distorts, and people lose their sense of scale.
Each cactus represents one 360 panoramas of Kusama's works. When the plant is gazed upon by the user's eyes, the user finds himself transported to a new immersive scene of the exhibition. These experiences will further enhance the artistic expression of Kusama's works.

In this interactive work, the position of the dots is no longer arranged by the artist himself, but an all-white space is handed over to the audience, who stick the dots of various colors to every corner of the room. This concept can be better represented in VR headsets. The buttons of the VR controller correspond to balls of different colors. After being pressed, waves can be emitted to the corresponding position and automatically adsorbed to the surface of the object.
Visitors are initially introduced to a pure white room, where red, yellow and blue balls are fired by pressing different buttons on the handle and automatically attach to all surfaces in the room. The highly saturated homogeneous overlay reduces the room's sense of perspective, leading to the unstable, vertigo-filled world kusama wanted to express.

UCLA Student Center

Individual Project

The site is on the a busy intersection on the west side of UCLA. The steep slope and boring landscape make it not a suitable place for student activities. It is like an island inside the school, with little connection to the existing streamline. Therefore, in order to make the site a public space, I wanted it to be more than just a place that people come to only when they need it.
In this project, wanted to enhance the fluidity and continuity of the space, to have a better connection with the site.
My operation here is to make the building an extension of the path. After observing the most likely path of human movement on the field, visualize the path as a staggered building. The fluidity created by the streamlined shape makes the building not only a destination, but also a public space that can be naturally walked into while wandering. Ramps and roof gardens on the outside of the building also take advantage of the site to provide more activity platforms and better views.
