Understanding MyFuture
ABOUT MY FUTURE
MyFuture is an early career network and career management platform connecting Queen ' s students with employers.
Recruiting graduates
MyFuture makes it easier for our students and graduates to find the right jobs and work experience opportunities and connect to relevant employability support opportunities. It also provides a direct communication portal for employers who are seeking to recruit or engage with our talented students and graduates. Every student at Queen’s can access the platform using their Queen’s email address and password, and they can continue to enjoy access for up to two years after graduation. Search and find opportunities
There are currently 2,000 employers active on the platform, as well as opportunities, workshops, employer presentations, fairs, appointments and Step by Step guides, and other resources from Careers Employability and Skills, Queen’s Library, Learning Development Service, The Graduate School, School Placement Offices and the Students’ Union. User friendly
Several improvements have been made to both the student and employer interfaces of MyFuture, the most notable being the use of artificial intelligence (AI) within the jobs board and imagery to drive user experience. Scrollable carousels make it easier for students to search and find jobs and events relevant to them, while AI and smart technology now matches students with opportunities based on previous searches and QSIS data.

30 New benefits to students
Students can benefit from a more personalised experience as the system now uses algorithms to suggest relevant events and jobs based on their previous activity, as well as those suggested on the basis of their QSIS registration data. Students can also enhance their personal brand by creating their own personal webpage through the generation of a URL link to their MyFuture profile.

Resources and quicklinks
Queen’s staff have the opportunity to use the new Resources & Quicklinks area in MyFuture to connect Queen’s students to any of the following: • A tailored Step-by-Step pathway for placement management and support or an extra-curricular programme • A recommended, licensed personal development resource e.g. Psychometric Tests • Software to host alumni, employer, or other external mentoring or networking programme • Run practice or actual video interviews
Advertising vacancies
Employers can advertise opportunities for free through MyFuture, and self-manage their profile, allowing them to build a brand presence and successfully promote graduate roles, internships and placements. Employers can also register for careers fairs and events and virtually recruit on campus. Through MyFuture, we can also facilitate advertising of employer workshops to relevant student cohorts (on campus and virtual).
Targeted emails
Employers can ensure maximum exposure to relevant student groups by sending targeted emails through MyFuture. They can opt to target students by year and School to increase applications for current roles or to boost attendance at your campus event. Please note that a fee is charged for this additional service.
