he new year brings with it endless possibilities. That statement brings joy to my soul. In January, I’ll take the short road trip to The World Market in Las Vegas. Over 4,000 vendors from around the world will be showcasing their wares. Colors, patterns, shapes and textures will ultimately reveal a trend. A trend that is shaped by what appeals to me. As you shop for new products for your home, it makes sense to visit several local shops to help reveal what is appealing to you. Find the fabrics and textures that bring you comfort and create that feeling of “home” to you. The new year is the best time to refresh your décor. Start with one room. I suggest the bedroom where you spend the majority of your time. Winter brings with it longer nights, and what’s better than the thought of soft luxurious sheets, quilts and pillows. Add to that a pair of comfortable upholstered chairs, updated lamps and a beautiful piece of art. Soft champagnes and gold tones are some of the new

neutrals in bedding. Adding contrast in a more saturated color is a must. This can be accomplished with pillows that can easily and inexpensively be switched out over time. Doubt may creep into your mind as you commit to your
selections when shopping. Asking your local shopkeeper for advice can ease your mind. They most likely have researched the products they carry and are able to make recommendations that are in your best interest. Cheers to 2022!
