Greetings Rodeo Fans Dear Guests of Prescott Frontier Days®, Welcome to beautiful Prescott, the state of Arizona and the 135th year of The World’s Oldest Rodeo®. On July 4, 1888, a group of Prescott merchants and businessmen organized what they called a “cowboy tournament” offering cash prizes. These pioneering Arizonans showcased the spirit, skill, and athleticism of local cowboys and ranchers. Ever since, competitors and fans have come from around the world to enjoy the excitement of the Prescott Rodeo — an event that showcases the boundless spirit of Arizona and the Southwest desert. No matter the challenges over the years, the Prescott Rodeo has endured. Thank you to this year’s rodeo organizers and sponsors for your hard work and support.
