A TRUE MAGIC WISH by Duc Le

Billy found the most comfortable, fluffy stuffed cheetah in the mall. He felt great playing with it, and putting clothes on it. He felt that he had a friend. He had a name for the dangerous cheetah it was Wacky.

His 6th birthday was luckily coming up. He had a plan to get Wacky for his

birthday. He thought of it and it was genius. Billy quickly asked his parents at the mall before they left if he could get Wacky. Billy’s Mom and Dad knew it was his birthday soon. They said, “No!” to him since they had no time and not enough money to get it for him. They had a gigantic huge pile of clothes stacked on the mini cart that had barely any space for anything else. That made Billy outraged! He didn’t want all those clothes, he wanted Wacky!!! Just then he got a light bulb and it flashed with power getting one of his most brilliant ideas ever. He dropped Wacky and he epicly ran to his sister Ashley who was in a girly store at the other end of the mall. It seemed to Billy this store was not meant for little boys at all. Billy asked her if she would buy him Wacky for his birthday. Ashley’s response was, “No way little weasel.” Ashley and Billy always hated each other since Billy was a baby and since a kid. Ashely was too much of a diva. Also Billy was just a little cry baby. The first time they met they knew their family love was going to be separated. I spent too much money on my new fantastic clothes. That’s way more important than a little stuffed animal!” He had another idea that filled his light bulb. He found his brother, Dan, in a store which was all dark and creepy. He asked Dan nervously. He hoped Dan would say yes, but he knew he probably wouldn’t. He said, “Never ever going to buy you a toy, you little trouble maker!” Dan and Billy had a really bad relationship. They always argued with each other and pulled pranks on each other. They were always “getting even” with each other. The time was almost 4:00 in the mall. Billy saw that there were thousands of people wandering all over the place with cheetah stuffed animals in their hands, cheetah glasses, cheetah hats, cheetah clothes, cheetah masks, also even a cheetah on

top of ice cream! This made him ferocious. It was was so annoying for Billy to see cheetah everything. This made it worse for him to keep the anger inside. He ran, seeing posters of stuffed cheetahs for sale. He saw the coolest items for Wacky, a tux for a special occasion, pajamas for sleeping time, and so on. It was time to go home because it was 4:00. Billy was on the other side of the mall from where he found Wacky and where his parents last saw him. Billy started walking back towards his parents when he heard his name being called over the loud speaker. “Attention: a child named Billy has been lost in the mall. If you find him, please bring him to his parents at Clothes Mania. Thank you.” “Oh No! I am in BIG trouble,” thought Billy. A mall cop found him right away and dragged him back to Clothes Mania. Billy’s parents saw him and looked at him with raised eyebrows, angry eyes, pursed lips and clenched teeth. They were mad! Billy’s parents dragged him out the mall door leaving Wacky at a store. When he got out he screamed, “Why? why? why? Why can’t I get it?” He opened the door to his house and ran as fast as he could upstairs crying on his pillow saying, “This is the worse day of my life”. “Be quiet! Be a man! Don’t make tears,” Dan yelled across the whole house so loud that the neighbors could hear so clear.

“You be quiet! You're not mature yelling like a baby across the house!” cried Billy. Dan got angry, ran back to his room and said, “I am certainly not a baby! I give up! No one is gonna get Wacky for me,” cried Billy. The next morning it was 8:00. He ran down stairs. Nobody was even in the house. He ran in the backyard. A party was going on. It was his birthday. All his little friends were there too. He saw a stack of presents on top of a tiny table. He hoped that he got what he wanted. It was the time to do the pinnata. He saw it was in the form of a cheetah. He took the bat, flinged it right in the stomach of the pinata. Nothing happened.

“BANG! BOOM! PEW! DING! The bat went right through the head of the pinata. Candy surrounded the whole yard. It was headless. Billy ran right to his grandma shouting excitedly, “Did you get me the cheetah?” Grandma Sally said, “Just wait for your big surprise”. In Billy’s mind that meant nothing to him. Billy waited and waited for present time, but it was just not going to happen. Billy jumped right in to his birthday chair and as fast as air it was time to do the birthday cake. The crowd start singing, “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Billy, happy birthday to youuuuuu”. “Fried chicken,” said from Bill’s friend Leo. It was present time! Billy opened the first one from his friend. It was a brand new shiny dark green bike with training wheels the size of a mini mud puddle. He opened the other ones. They were fantastic too. There was a box that was full of moon sand, a cotton candy maker, a pet dog that was a size of 2 hands combined together, a collection of toy cars ,airplanes ,jets ,motorcycles , and mini vans. There was no sign of a cheetah. Finally grandma gave him his present. He shrugged and was starting to sweat trying to get over what he was going to get. He was of all the tiny moments that he had with Wacky. He had a feeling that he wouldn’t get him. His heart was really beating hard going up and down onto his chest. He whispered to himself I’ll be fine if I don’t get what I want”. He slowly opened the wrapper. Trying to smile no matter what happened. Hopefully their was still a box under it. Slowly closed one eye ripping the tied string on top of the box. Finally it was open he put his hands over his face trying to not look at the present. But he had to face his fear of not getting Wacky.

“WOOOOOOOOW” Billy surprisely said. He was full of jubilation. It was something that he could not even imagine. There was family a whole of cheetahs a Dad Mom + 2 childeren favorite group of leopards, tigers, lions, and hyenas, monkeys, gorillas, wolves, dogs, owls, rhinos, bears, and the most he could get.

There were numerous stuffed animals. An Billy ran to his grammy instantly hugging her tight “Your’e the best grammy Sally” Billy smiles.

THE END!!!
