It was a gorgeous sunny day where you could not even feel the slightest breeze. Mama Whale and Papa Whale were filled with jubilation as they were lifting up their beautiful baby whale Lucy for her first breath of air. Suddenly out of nowhere the fluffy clouds turned to rain and the calm waves turned to tsunamis, in the distance was a wave heading towards Lucy.

Meanwhile, in dazzling Sea City where the shell castles stood and the mermaids posed, lived a dolphin family. They were swimming with pride when suddenly Princess screeched “EEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW, WHAT IS THIS GAHROSS BLOB OF FAT?!” “Uuummmmm I’m pretty sure that I’m one of”She stammered “YOU!” Lucy said as she looked up nervously at the multimillionaire dolphin family and smiled shyly.

10 years later “Lucer, get over here and sweep the poolside. Oh! And while you’re at it fetch me some shrimp cocktail,” Princess hollered. Lucy (Lucer) slithered over carrying a nice, steamy, cold plate of shrimp. “here you go sis!” Lucy said politely handing her her meal “Hope you enjoy it. I got them fresh from the market!” “The Starfish Market?” “Ummmmmmm, yes, why?” “Never ask a Princess a question. I repeat NEVER ask a princess a question! Oh yeah and FYI, I’m not your sister, you UGLY blob!” Princess replied. Lucy walked away unoffended, she was used to Princess bullying her, but this time Lucy had an idea! She was going to go on a little lets say JOURNEY!

The next day Lucy set out for her adventure. She brought with her 3 shells ($30) and her good luck charm. It was an old snail shell that she took off a grandpa snail! Lucy arrived at Seaphora. “How much for a majestic makeover?” Asked Lucy as she handed over her 3 shells “41/2 shells” replied the sassy mermaid Alicia. Lucy looked over her shoulder, the store was closing in 5 minutes and she had to make a bargain quick! “I’ll give you 3......” “4.......” “I’m sorry but I only have 3 shells.” “Well too bad for you were closing,” Alicia said as she pushed Lucy out of the store and locked the doors tight “Oh and don’t even think of breaking in!” This time as Lucy walked away she was really feeling like a Lucer Lucy it was just too much chaos for 1 day! She took out her shellphone and pressed 1 to speed dial her best friend, Sheila the Seahorse. “ helllllooooo?” “ Hey Sheila its Lucy! I’ve got a major problem and i need your help. You see, Princess was mean to me to me again and so I had an idea to get a makeover. I did not have enough shells soooooooooo now” “Hold on.................. AHAH! My uncle’s godfather has a friend who has a cousin, who works for a fish, who is best friends with a shark who’s boss knows a friend, who knows a magic fish witch who can make you prettier!” Sheila said in one quick breath showing off her pride, she had just got the newest edition of the clamputer which can track every person in the sea’s history and future! “You just got to love shellnology (technology!) “O.K” Lucy said spreading a huge smile across her face “ where can we find this magic fish witch ?” “Oh well it’s a pretty long trip and I don’t think you’re the kind of sea being who would be up for it.” “NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean YES I am up for it. Who do you think your best friend is a baby?????” Lucy said as her smile turned upside down. Of course Sheila could not see her reaction.

“Of Course not. I’ll send the directions to you,” Sheila said as she pressed down on the freezing ,flexible, metallic, silver buttons “they’re on there way!” Sheila said assuring Lucy. Hours passed, but Lucy kept on swimming when finally she reached a purple, misty, haunted looking cave. There was a label on it that read, “Magic Fish Lair Enter if You Dare.” Lucy ignored the sign and speed swam in. Lucy was met by a black puni fish with a white little cap on its head that said “door fish” with lime green letters in the font of “spirax”. “Do you need something asked the little fish? “Um,well I guess I’m here to see the “Fish witch!” replied Lucy with a shiver in her voice. “Oh,” said a large voice coming from what seemed liked a mile away, “Right over here.” Lucy followed from where the voice came from and was startled to see an over sized porana. Lucy realized she was being stared at. She looked at the porana who was giving her the andyou’reherebecause look. “Oh, hi I’m Lucy and I was wondering if you could make me pretty?” Lucy realized how stupid the question sounded and immediately regretted that she said it. “what did you just say?” “I said” “I know what you said but why?” “Well don’t you see, I’m as ugly as they get.” Lucy said repeating what Princess told her. “Uh,well” the parana said thinking out loud, “I’ll give it a shot.” Lucy smirked, finally she was going to fit in, finally she would not be the outsider but the insider! Lucy waited about an hour while the porana prepared the spell. Finally the words Lucy had been waiting for for what seemed like her whole entire life came out, “I’m ready.” Lucy swam right into the glass tube and prayed that it would work.

5 HOURS LATER Lucy jumped out of the glass tube and speed swam to the big rusty mirror labeled “found at the Titanic ship.” Lucy started to think about what the Titanic could be but ignored her thought and stared at her own familiar reflection she had grown up to be. She angry she shoved the fish and yelled “stupid fish you think you know how to do everything!” Lucy stormed off and didn’t look back, she was furious and kept her eyes straight. After a couple hours she calmed down and remembered she still had her 3 shells left. She decided to grab a seaweed latte. When she finally arrived Lucy got in line and looked around while she waited. Suddenly she could feel someone staring at her and shouted “WHAT?!” But before Lucy could apologize for her mean behavior she caught herself staring back at what seemed like her “Sorry about the yelling, but I see that we look alike and I would like to know what kind of creature you are,” Lucy started but could not finish. The reflection kindly interrupted her, “I’m sorry but before I answer your question,” she paused. “Bob you’ve got hear this.” A male reflection of Lucy swam over and took a glance at Lucy and

then started to stare. “My gosh, Barbara the resemblance between you two is amazing. I mean, she looks just like our long lost” “I know, but it can't be true. It was 10 whole years ago.” “Wait a minute,” Lucy interrupted. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” “You’re our long lost daughter!!!!!!” Mama and Papa whale said in unison as a stupendous smile spread across their faces.

After that day Lucy spent the rest of her life with her Mama and Papa. And you never know, you just might see Lucy on the cover of Whale Vogue. She was voted prettiest creature of the sea!
