way from the beaches and nightlife of the west coast of Phuket, the pace of life is different. This is especially true of the island's capital, Phuket City, the center of commerce and of much of the islanders' culture. A delightful slice of that culture will be on show on June 20 and 21 when the local Peranakan Association organises its seventh annual Baba mass wedding. The Peranakan culture has its roots in the Chinese who began migrating to the Malay Peninsula 600 years ago. Over the centuries, Phuket was one of five cities (the others being Singapore, Melaka, Medan and Penang) where the immigrants assimilated the local Malay culture - in many cases marrying into it - creating a unique Sino-Malay culture of their own. Peranakans speak of themselves and their culture as "Baba-Nyonya" - Baba being the men and Nyonya the women - or simply as "Baba". They form a powerful grouping in Southeast Asia, with commercial and family links giving them regional influence. In Phuket, many of the major trading houses are Perenakan. So are Somjai Suwansupana, the Mayor of Phuket City Municipality, and her deputy, Dr Kosol Taengutai. Dr Kosol was one of the founders of the Peranakan Association and is heavily involved in the Baba mass wedding, the biggest public display of Peranakan culture. "It's a freshening-up of an old tradition," he explains. "The objective of this association is not [primarily to boost] tourism. Primarily it is to conserve our culture." "The Baba community is one of many communities in Phuket. Phuket is, of course, an island and people came (and still come) from many places to visit or to stay. So we have a good mix here in Phuket - everyone here is of mixed blood." He explains that the physical preparations of the mass wedding take about two weeks, which includes design and decoration of the brides' and grooms' "houses", and especially the food. "For this ceremony," he says, "We need to have special food to create harmony." №6(24) Июнь 2015
At the center of the ceremonies, of course, are the couples who will "marry". There is a limit of 10 couples chosen on a first-come-first-served basis. Most come from Peranakan backgrounds in one or other of the five cities, but past Baba mass weddings have also seen Mainland Chinese, Japanese and European couples taking part. It's not free - each couple must pay B39,900, but this includes the ornate wedding costumes, hairdressing and make-up, the banquets, transport and three nights' romantic luxury accommodation. On the first day (June 20 this year) the couples all meet for orientation at the Sukko Spa, just south of town, and also meet their um lang. In the old days the um lang, all women, were the matchmakers, but for the Baba wedding the matches have already been made, so the um lang serve as guides and advisers to the couples. "Each couple will be assigned two um Lang," Dr Kosol explains. "Normally we select them from among the elders in our community." "At the Sukko Spa everything is explained to them, what will happen and when. After the orientation, which takes around two hours, we take the couples to Wat Chalong to pay their respects to [the revered 19th Century monk] Luang Pho Chaem." "After that we normally go to the famous Phromthep Cape, for beautiful sunset group pictures before returning to Sukko Spa and from there to the couples' resort." Day two begins right after breakfast with the couples being dressed. The clothing is traditional, with the styles worn by local wealthy Chinese in the 19th Century. For the brides, the dressing, hairdressing and make-up can take as long as two hours. The grooms, meanwhile, are taken to their "house" where they wait for word of the brides being ready in theirs. When the word comes, the grooms make their way in a colorful procession through the streets of the old town, usually starting at about 1pm. www.reallifephuket.com

They are accompanied by hundreds of local people dressed to impress in their finest silks and traditional gold jewellery, by children carrying flowers and by musicians playing traditional Chinese music. "At the brides' house," Dr Kosol says, "the grooms escort the brides outside to tables where they play board games and then escort them back into the house for the most important marriage ceremony, known as Phang Teh - the traditional tea ceremony where the couples serve tea to their elders and close family members." "At this time all their relatives and friends have the opportunity to give the couples the red envelopes that represent prosperity and normally contain money, gold or small pieces of jewellery." After the tea ceremony is over, the couples go in procession through the streets of the old town, with locals handing them bouquets of flowers or showering them with petals from balconies above. It's a big, noisy, colorful procession, and attracts thousands of onlookers and well-wishers. "The Baba wedding, of course, also belongs to the public," Dr Kosol explains, "so it needs to be shared with all inhabitants. After the procession, everyone stops at the Thai Hua Museum [on Krabi Rd] for photographs and video." The final event of the two-day festival is a gala dinner for the couples, their relatives and the organizers at 75 Wichitsongkram Rd , one of the city's big Sino-Colonial mansions. This is a private house, the Baba Wedding being the only occasion in the year when the house is open to members of the public. After dinner everyone is entertained with traditional shows. After that, the couples are taken to their resort to enjoy the rest of their time as they see fit. The Baba Wedding is over for another year. The Baba Wedding is a popular event, Mayor Somjai says. "We have the local community's full support. The older people, especially, love this event and support us a lot," she says. "We couldn't do it without their help." The Phuket Peranakan Association is currently renovating the old Standard Chartered Bank building on Phang Nga Rd, which will become a Baba museum including, of course, a display of traditional Baba clothing. The Baba Wedding ensures that Phuket's Peranakan culture will not be confined to the museum, but will remain a living and vibrant part of the island's character.

БАБА СВАДЬБА: ТРАДИЦИИ ПРАВЯТ МИРОМ

дали от пляжей и ночных клубов западного побережья Пхукета, темп жизни иной. Особенно, в столице острова – Пхукет-тауне, культурном и торговом центре. Познакомиться с восхитительным кусочком этой культуры можно на фестивале 20 и 21 июня, когда местная Перанаканская ассоциация устраивает свою седьмую ежегодную массовую Баба-свадьбу. Перанаканская культура возникла 600 лет назад, когда китайцы стали мигрировать на Малайский полуостров. На протяжении веков Пхукет был одной из пяти точек притяжения для китайских эммигрантов на равне с Сингапуром, Мелакой, Меданом и Пенангом. В каждом новом месте они ассимилировались с местной культурой, и благодаря смешанным бракам появилось собственное уникальное китайско-малайское культурное направление. Паранаканцы называют свою культуру «Баба-Ньёя» (где «баба» – мужчина, а «ньёя» – женщина), или просто «баба». Они образуют мощную общину в Юго-Восточной Азии, с крепкими коммерческими и семейными связями, дающих им региональное влияние. На Пхукете много перанаканцев, в их числе, мэр Пхукет-тауна Сомчай Саваннасупапан и ее заместитель Косол Тьенгутай. В центре церемонии пары, которые хотят пожениться. Это только десять пар, которые пришли самыми первыми. В основном, из местных перанаканцев, но иногда бывают пары из Китая, Японии или европейские пары. В первый день – 20 июня – организаторы встречаются с парами для ориентирования. Также пары регистрируются и вносят разовый платеж 39 000 батов – эта сумма включает в себя все: от платья невесты до праздничного банкета. В этот же день они встречаются с ум ланг – свахой. Но это больше помощник, чем сваха. Обычно у пары таких помошников два, женщин выбирают из старейшин общины. У нас есть целый комитет, который объясняет парам, что им предстоит. После обсуждения пары отправляются в храм Ват Чалонг, чтобы почтить Будду. Затем они обычно идут к мысу Промтеп, чтобы сделать красивые фотографии на закате. На второй день сразу после завтрака пара начинает одеваться для церемонии. Этот процесс может занять два часа. А дальше начинается сама церемония с праздничного шествия жениха к дому невесты. Парад происходит примерно в 13.00. Множество цветов и сверкающих ювелирных изделий и, конечно, древняя китайская музыка. После того как жених прибыл в дом невесты, он выводит ее наружу, чтобы сыграть в настольные игры. Затем в доме невесты проходит традиционная чайная церемония, одно из важнейших событий этого дня – молодые таким образом отдают дань уважения семье и старшим членам общины. В это же время гости отдают новобрачным красные конверты с деньгами внутри – для богатства и процветания будущей семьи. После чайной церемонии, пары идут вместе с процессией по улицам старого города, а местные жители вручают им букеты цветов и разбрасывают с балконов лепестки роз на их головы. Это большое, шумное, красочное шествие привлекает тысячи зрителей. «Свадьба Баба принадлежит людям, – объясняет д-р Косол, – поэтому люди должны узнать о ней. Заключительным мероприятием двухдневного фестиваля является гала-ужин для пары, их родственников и организаторов на 75 Wichitsongkram Rd, в одном из самых крупных китайско-колониальных особняков города. Это частный дом, и он бывает открыт для общественности только раз в году, когда проводится Баба-свадьба. После ужина состоится традиционное развлекательное шоу. После этого пары отправляются в отели, чтобы насладиться праздником, как они считают нужным. Так заканчивается Баба-свадьба. «Баба Свадьба – очень популярное событие, – говорит мэр Сомчай. – У нас есть полная поддержка местного сообщества. Пожилые люди особенно любят это событие и всячески нас поддерживают. Мы не смогли бы сделать это без их помощи». Перанаканская Ассоциация в настоящее время ремонтирует старое здание банка Standard Chartered на Панг-Нга роуд, который станет в том числе музеем Баба, в котором можно будет посмотреть традиционную баба-одежду. I'm often asked this. The short story is I was living and working in Hong Kong when the July 1997 handover came along and the company I was working with decided to relocate to Singapore. I took a break and went to grab my 37ft sailing boat from the Whitsundays. Two friends and I sailed it to Singapore having a great time along the way. When I arrived the idea of wearing a suit and tie had lost its appeal and we ended up in Phuket. When I went to sell the yacht and return home, I found that there was no real yacht brokerage so Lee Marine was born.
WHAT HAVE BEEN THE DEFINING MOMENTS IN YOUR 18 YEARS IN CHARGE?
Selling my first new Riviera in 1998 was definitely a defining moment for myself and the company. We learnt a great deal about after sales service, dealing with shipyards and high client expectation. Another one was the opening of our designer showroom combined with a fine dining restaurant, The Watermark, in 2003. In reality though the defining moments come about when important clients talk to their friends in a complimentary way about our products and service.

Well if you think of what it was liked 20 years ago, it has shown astonishing growth without a doubt. I was here in the era of one marina with 20 berthed boats. Now we have 6 marinas and approaching 1500 berthed boats sothat probably answers your question. The cruising grounds have always been here but the infrastructure and professional services have been slow to catch

up. Strangely the market is still predominantly boats with foreign owners, however the Thai market is strengthening and will only go in one direction.
WHATS HOT AND WHATS NOT IN YOUR RANGE OF BOATS FOR SALE AT THE MOMENT? ANY STAND OUT MODELS? Depending on what you like, and of course your budget, but the most honest boats for cruising the tropics here are the Riviera's for sure. But, if you want to splash out, then the new Pershing 70 would have to be the ultimate day boat for Phuket. For the world's best flybridge boats with a "limousine ride" the Ferretti Yacht range are simply the best you can get, but on a high performance Pershing Yacht you will see a lot in one day traveling at 45 knots in complete comfort. The entire range of Pershing Yachts would have to be my personal favorite.
WHATS THE MOST REWARDING PART OF YOUR BUSINESS LIFE?
I can't go past listening to a happy client explain their adventures on board. It's very satisfying hearing (and sometimes enjoying with them) the priceless memories they have banked forever.
HOW DO YOU SEE THE SOUTH EAST ASIAN MARKET DEVELOPING IN YEARS TO COME?
In a word; strongly. High end luxury boating was always the preserve of the Caribbean and Pacific. Then, in the 50's and 60's, the Mediterranean came into the picture, but the new and yet to be fully discovered area has to be South East Asia. Governments need to work together in this tourism and hospitality sector to provide the permits, services and security required then it will boom! I recently returned from Raja Amput in Indonesia. If you haven't seen it, trust me, it blows the traditional cruising areas of the world away.
ANY ADVICE FOR THE FIRST TIME BOAT BUYER?
Buy from a broker or dealer that is happy and passionate. They are usually the ones that don't cut corners and provide the service level you expect from start to finish.

Но наиболее подходящая круизная лодка для тропиков, это, на мой взгляд, «Ривьера». Если же вы хотите выделиться, то могу порекомендовать Pershing 70, это, действительно, очень круто для Пхукета. Затем, в 60-70-х годах в игру вступило Средиземноморье, но без Юго-Восточной Азии картина была бы не полной. Я считаю, если правительство будет продолжать работать вместе с туристической отраслью и медицинскими учреждениями, для предоставления всех необходимых услуг и обеспечения полного комфорта и безопасности, это будет успех! Я недавно вернулся из Раджа Ампут в Индонезии, и поверьте мне, это место взорвало все мои представления об яхтенном бизнесе!

orking in fashion and beauty for many years now, it has become apparent how many brides have photos of what they want to look like on their wedding day but have not researched how much the particular Designer dresses cost and how flattering the silhouette will be on their body-frame. We humans are wonderful and unique and it's not always possible to achieve the same look as a catwalk model that is 180cm tall with perfect natural "C" cup breasts and a 21cm waist. The best advice I give you is to research online as much as possible before making your fitting appointments with a bridal boutique, as this will make it easier to locate your dream dress style.

It is important to discuss with your family or fiancé about the budget for your wedding dress. Then you should check online about how much the dresses cost that you have been looking at. ...nobody would have expected that she will be Thailands hottest export... ...1000 events in over 60 countries in many of the most well-know clubs... WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO PLAY IN PHUKET: From my first party until now Phuket has developed very much. Now my Phuket homebase is Illuzion, an amazing new superclub. Normally I like to play at small clubs because I love the atmosphere, but Illuzion is very special and I enjoy the energy of so many people.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT CLOSING THE PARTIES ON KOH PHANGAN? ONLY FULL MOON PARTY LEFT THERE? They really closed the parties? That's so sad and I think it's a big mistake. Koh Phangan's famous for it's parties and many people come specially for them. I'm not happy with the things happening on Koh Phangan. The Fullmoon party's not my scene, I played there a few times in the past but I think the smaller parties are much better and I would not play fullmoon anymore now.
WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL WE SEE THAI DJ STAR ON A WORLD SCENE. LIKE ARMIN VAN BUUREN FOR EXAMPLE? Armin is a big EDM star. I don’t think Thailand can have a star in the EDM scene because this scene is controlled from Holland and USA. I play around the world every weekend and my success is growing month by month. But I am in a different scene and I am happy that people compare me to Sven Vaeth. Playing around 130 gigs in over 30 countries per year is already not bad I think. This summer I have great Festival- and Ibiza bookings and for summer 2016 many of Europes biggest festivals already booked me.
HOW ABOUT THE THAI BRITTNEY SPEARS? I don’t think it will be possible. To have success like the biggest world stars it is not about the music. It is mostly about the people behind the scene that push the artist to the top. Big superstars are made by big managers, and they are in London, Los Angeles and New York, not in Bangkok
SINCE I AM RUSSIAN, I’D LOVE TO ASK ABOUT RUSSIAN DJ'S AND RUSSIAN SCENE. Oh, I haven’t played in Russia for a while now. Back in 2006 and 2008 I played in Moscow and St Petersburg and it looks like this year I will finally go back – if we can find a date. Russia has a great clubscene with many amazing clubs. Russia has one big DJ Superstar nice a few years: Nina Kraviz. She is really on the top now and Russia is very proud of her. I met her a few times and she is cool.
WHAT DJ IS A KIND OF IDOL FOR YOU? My idol is Sven Veath. The way how he plays his sets really makes people dance nonstop – sometimes 12 hours or more. He takes people where he wants them to be, up or down. Even me! I hurt my leg, I feel pain, but I was not able to stop dancing. He plays high quality tunes and that’s what I also try to do in my sets. He inspires me and he plays the best events around the world. That is my dream and I work hard to reach his level. But hey… Sven Veath is a legend since the first days of Techno, so nobody will ever reach his level. Production wise Martin Buttrich is my idol. He is so talented and produces music of the highest quality.
AND OUR LAST QUESTION. WHAT DO YOU WORK ON NOW? WHAT WE MAY EXPECT FROM DJ NAKADIA SOON? I am on tour nonstop and on my free days I try to work in the studio as much as possible. I don’t focus on my album yet but I release one EP after the other. This year I will release 5 EPs on big labels like Get Physical, and other amazing labels that I cant mention yet. The new productions are really amazing. Last week I played in Italy and tried my new tracks and they work amazing.

Никто не ожидал увидеть в Таланде эту жаркую штучку.. 1000 выступлений более чем в 60 странах в самых известных клубах.. ГДЕ НА ПХУКЕТЕ ВАМ НРАВИТСЯ ИГРАТЬ? С момента моей первой вечеринки тут Пхукет изучен вдоль и поперек, где я только не играла! Сейчас место моей дислокации новый супер-клуб Иллюзион. Обычно я предпочитаю играть в маленьких клубах, но в Иллюзионе какая-то особая атмосфера, я наслаждаюсь энергетикой большого количества людей.
ЧТО ВЫ ДУМАЕТЕ О ЗАКРЫТИИ БОЛЬШИНСТВА ВЕЧЕРИНОК НА ОСТРОВЕ ПАНГАН? ВЕДЬ ОСТАЛИСЬ FULL MOON PARTIES. А они действительно закрыты? Это так грустно.. Думаю, это большая ошибка, ведь остров славится своими вечеринками, многие туристы приезжают именно ради них. Я очень этим недовольна, я играла несколько раз на Full Moon Party, но уверена небольшие вечеринки намного лучше, и раз так, я больше никогда не буду играть на Пангане.
КАК ДУМАЕТЕ, МЫ КОГДА-НИБУДЬ УВИДИМ ТАЙСКОГО ДИДЖЕЯ НА МИРОВОЙ СЦЕНЕ? НАПРИМЕР, КАК ARMIN VAN BUUREN. Армин – звезда электронной танцевальной музыки, я не думаю, что Таиланд может иметь звезду на этой сцене, так как это вотчина Голландии и США. Но я рада представлять Таиланд по всему миру в стиле техно. Я играю по всему миру каждые выходные, и чувстую, как мой успех растет с каждым месяцем. Мне очень приятно когда меня сравнивают со Свеном Вэтом. Я играю на 130 вечеринках в более чем 30-ти странах в год, думаю это неплохо. Этим летом меня пригласили на большой фестиваль на Ибице, а летом 2016 – на крупнейшие фестивали Европы. Это очень здорово для тайского артиста.

Даже я, когда повредила ногу, не могла усидеть на месте. Его музыка по-настоящему качественная, он играет на самых знаменитых площадках мира, он вдохновляет меня. Skincare Commandments
Whilst she cleanses her face from the jawline moving to the centre, she applies skincare (Eg. serums, toner) from the centre and outwards. For neck cream, she starts from beside the jawline down to the decolletage in an outward "C shape" motion. (Imagine yourself applying neck cream in the shape of the Chanel double "C" logo) Apply skincare once it is warmed up in your hands, and press both palms onto your face to improve absorption of all the skincare layers. She discards skincare after 2 months of use for hygiene reasons - a steep contrast to the 12 months we're usually told by other beauty experts.
Makeup Philosophy
Go prefers using her fingers to apply foundation. Unless the sponge is brand new or the brush is fresh and clean, she avoids using them for hygiene reasons. Foundation: The secret to natural looking skin is not to apply foundation all over the face. She applies foundation only on the shadows of the face (under the eyes, under the cheek) and keeps the high points of the face sheer. Lips: Her typical lip routine starts with BB cream & lip balm in the morning, followed by lipgloss in the afternoon and lipstick/liner in the evening. Eyes: For natural looking eyes, use only eyeliner and mascara, and matte powder under the eyes to prevent smudging. Blush: She doesn't apply blush!

Несмотря на то, что многие эксперты красоты советуют использовать один крем не больше года, нужно сократить этот срок до двух месяцев из гигиенических соображений.
Философия макияжа. Хен Джун предпочитает наносить основу с помощью пальцев, также из гигиенических соображений, потому что губка или кисть могут оказаться не очень чистыми. Основа: секрет естественного вида кожи – не наносить основу по всему лицу: а только под глаза, скулы, чтобы тон на выступающих участках не бросался в глаза. Губы: обычно используется BB-крем и бальзам для губ для дневного макияжа. и жидкая помада и лайнер в вечернее время. Глаза: для максимально естественного эффекта, используется только подводка для глаз и тушь для ресниц, а также матовая пудра под глаза, предотвращающая смазывание. Румяна Хен Джун не использует.

The Pullman company made luxury railcars that were once the standard of travel for corporate oligarchs and government officials. North Korea's Kim Jong-Il may have been the last head of state to travel by rail car, ostensibly because he feared flying and because it was easier to armour a rail car than an airplane. In 1964, the Pullman was still associated with opulent rail travel, so Mercedes-Benz applied it to the stretched limousine version of its flagship 600 sedan, a model that remained in production through 1981. Fifty years later, though few may recall its origin, Mercedes has revived the Pullman moniker as the absolute pinnacle of its Maybach sub-brand. Pricing, without optional armour, starts around 500,000 euros.

I work here now 5 years in real estate to be précised. I sell and do a lot of projects. I can build for the customers from zero, redesign or renovate. We do all kinds of services. In France I worked more than 12 years with over 120 employees in construction business. Here in Phuket we want to do the same but with less staff and higher quality. I am aiming at 10 to 12 staff to concentrate on the quality work such as construction, maintenance or design.
What Projects have you realized here so far?
First I was involved in the project called Sirinraya Residence the first one I owned and followed up all stuff about this project. The second one which didn't start yet I will built by myself also. I was involved in few projects which are luxury pool villas development. Apart from this we do a lot of independent work for private customers. Even I went to BKK sometimes to work overnight in some supermarkets to redesign and follow up on electrical issues etc. In Phuket we are really busy with maintenance, redesigns, reconstructions and advices.
What services do you provide?
We can start from zero. I mean customers call us if they have a land or even if they are thinking about buying the land and are aimed to build something special there, we will come and advice them accordingly. We do help for constructions and ideas together with them. We offer so much more quality then others.
Do you recommend to start from 0?
Yes I do of course. It's much better to start from scratch and we can follow up very well with our clients. What makes you different? Definitely the quality of our work and the fast time in responding to customer needs. We are fully responsible for our work and guarantee the highest quality.
So, you provide very responsible project management?
Yes, we do of course. We provide immediate advises and most important we are telling the truth. Often people don't really know about the property business or especially construction. I need only 2 min listening to them in order to understand what they want and I will help them to realize their dreams in a very fast professional manner. Also, I can see problems before they occur so I can react more fast than my competitors. I visit all sites personally and manage the whole process by myself.

Мы встретились с Тедди Болто, строителем, инженером и девелоперомчтобы познакомиться и задать вопросы человеку, ставшему за пять лет легендой рынка недвижимости на Пхукете. Как долго вы работаете на Пхукете? В сфере недвижимости я работаю уже 5 лет, если быть точным. Учавствую в продаже и создании множества проектов. Я могу построить объект с нуля, сделать редизайн или отремонтировать. Во Франции я работал больше 12 лет и возглавлял компанию, в которой трудилось 120 человек. Чтобы держать все под контролем, иногда приходится ездить в Бангкок и работать ночами в супермаркетах, чтобы отследить все возможные проблемы с приобретением именно тех материалов, что нужны нам. On the 21st of May 2015 French national Dominique Grosbois received the Title Deed and house registration book (Tabien Bann) for his newly bought unit in a beachfront condo right next to the picturesque Nai Harn beach. Despite being a foreign expat, Mr. Frosbois received his Title deed and Tabien Baan in the same order as all Thai national do, thus getting proof ow his full ownership of the property without any restrictions and limitations.He signed a purchase agreement in December of 2014 and paid in accordance with the payment schedule specified in the contract. In March 2015 he come to stay in Nai Harn Bach Condominium not as a visitor but to stay in his unit and wait for the papers - handover as a future owner. Mr. Grosbois owns several houses and condominiums abroad. But Nai Harn Beach Condominium definitely stands out, the Frenchmen admits. This year Nai Harn Beach Condominium is nominated to The Best Condo Development (PHUKET) 2015. The results of "The best Condominium in Phuket" nomination in the competition of Thailand Property Award 2015 will be announced in upcoming September 2015.
- Some investors view buying off-plan as a risky business. Could you tell us about your personal experience with the developer of Nai Harn Beach Condominium?
In contract provided to me was very clear that they will finish construction at the end of January 2015 and they did it in time. As I bought a unit with furniture package, when I came to stay my living was ready and fully furnished. My condo is very comfortable and all facilities make us filling just same like I stay at home. I am proud to be an owner of this condominium.
Is your unit really different from what you have seen in the advertising prospects and booklets?
During the payments developer really follows to their commitments and steps of construction later also interior design in my room. When it was done it is just same as I saw it in show room before.
What do you like most about this development?
I feel very happy with green scenery here and nearby Nai Harn Beach which is very quiet and clean. I wake up every day and walk to the beach. It takes me only 5 minute and it is very wonderful beach which you never see for sure. I also have condominium in Hawaii and other place but living in Nai Harn Bach Condominium you will get the fresh and clean atmosphere not far from Nai Harn Beach and same time in this area you have everything nearby. This is the condominium that I can recommend.

жилом комплексе Nai Harn Beach Condominium, расположенном в районе одноименного пляжа на Пхукете, началась передача прав собственности на квартиры покупателям. Первым домовую книгу (Tabien Bann) и свидетельство о передаче правового титула (Title Deed) от застройщика получил гражданин Франции Доминик Гробуа. Иностранец получил документы в таком же порядке, в котором их получают граждане Таиланда, и сейчас является полноправным владельцем квартиры на Пхукете без каких-либо ограничений и оговорок. Господин Гробуа подписал договор в декабре 2014 года, после чего своевременно внес все платежи в соответствии с утвержденным в контракте графиком. В марте 2015 года он приехал в Nai Harn Bach Condominium уже не в качестве гостя, а как будущий владелец – до передачи документов и совершения финального платежа он проживал в своей собственной квартире в комплексе. Господин Гробуа признается, что у него уже есть квартиры в других странах, однако Nai Harn Beach Condominium от прочего жилья отличается.
В этом году проект Nai Harn Beach Condominium был выдвинут на премию Thailand Property Award в номинации Лучший кондоминиум на Пхукете. Итоги премии будут подведены в сентябре 2015 года.

В контракте, который мне был предложен, было четко указано, что работы будут закончены к январю 2015 года, и застройщик действительно уложился в срок. – Сильно ли готовое жилье отличалось от того, что вы видели в рекламных проспектах? После заключения контракта, пока я совершал платежи, девелопер также четко выполнял все обещания и соблюдал график как строительства, так и отделки непосредственно моей квартиры. Когда они закончили, квартиры выглядела в точности так же, как то, что мне показывали в шоу-руме.
– Что вам нравится больше всего? Меня отдельно радует обилие зелени и то, что находящийся рядом пляж Най-Харн настолько тихий и чистый. Каждый день я отправляюсь к морю, как только проснусь – до него всего лишь пять минут пешком, а подобной красоты вы точно нигде больше не увидите. У меня есть квартиры и в других странах, но Nai Harn Bach Condominium особенный. WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT DIAMOND CONDO? Where you come from? What were you doing & working before?

I was born in a little village near the beautiful town Ghent in Belgium. I grew up there with my parents and two younger brothers. At 19 I finished school where architecture was my main subject. Very strange it took me more than 30 years to really profit from those studies. I started my own business, a direct mailing company. It was hard work, long days, with up and downs but at the end it paid off. About 50 people were working with me and we became one of the biggest direct mail companies in Belgium. At that moment I sold the company. That's another story. Many Belgium people go to Turkey on holiday, just like me. Less than ten years ago I invested in a Turkish building company. Although I am not a builder, I loved it. I don't care how a wall is built, I am interested in the result, the quality.
What was behind your decision to set up a business in Phuket?
I fell in love with Thailand a long time ago. I used to come on holiday. I like the Thai way of life, although it's sometimes difficult for a westerner to understand. At a certain moment I had the opportunity to join a company that owned some land here in Bangtao and Surin. I liked it because it is close to the beach and at the same time in the middle of green. It was never my intention to build something like Diamond Condominium but being an entrepreneur and my positive experience in Turkey started me thinking.
What's special about Diamond Condo? What are its unique points?
"What if I can build something I want to buy myself? What if I can build something with western standards for a correct and affordable price?" And so the project started and our construction will be completed on November 2016, one and two bedroom condo's with western standards. Solid walls, good plumbing and finished. ЧТО ОСОБЕННОГО У DIAMOND CONDOMINIUM? Откуда вы приехали? Чем занимались и где работали до переезда на Пхукет? Родился я в небольшой деревне, которая находится рядом с красивым городом Гент в Бельгии и вырос в семье с двумя младшими братьями. Первый мой собственный бизнес – компания по рассылке почты. Скажу вам честно, это тяжелая работа, без расписания, со взлетами и падениями, но это стоило того. В итоге 50 человек работали со мной, и мы стали одной из самых крупных почтовых компаний в Бельгии. Как и все любители пляжного отдыха, многие бельгийцы ездят отдыхать в Турцию, я не был исключением. Но… здесь то и началась новая история! Я продал успешную почтовую компанию и инвестировал в турецкую строительную компанию и этим шагом изменил в корне свою жизнь.
Что стояло за вашим решением открыть бизнес на Пукете? Я влюбился в Таиланд много лет назад. В определенный момент у меня появилась возможность присоединиться к компании, которая владела несколькими участками земли здесь, на Банг Тао и Сурине. Мне понравилась земля, так как участки расположены близко к пляжу и в тоже время окружены зеленью.
Что особенного у Diamond Condominium? В чем его отличие от других проектов? Я задал себе вопрос «Смогу ли я построить такой проект, который захочу купить сам, с европейским качеством и привлекательной ценой?» Ответ – да, смогу. В итоге проект начали.
